That could have been like the one that had Lugia and Ho-oh. Plus if Zygarde were in the movie, don't you think it should have been revealed by now? Anyway, I like to a post game that is like Delta Episode but longer. It could feature Volcanion but that is unlikely and just my opinion.

Lol every statement you make you say with such certainty "THIS WILL HAPPEN" "THIS WON'T HAPPEN" etc and then you go and change your mind! :p

By that logic, Serena, Bonnie and Clemont aren't in the movie either as they've not been seen or mentioned so far.

Exactly so far Zygarde is in more movie related material than isn't.

He was in the first trailer, he is on the poster for the short, and he's not only on the official movie merchandise he gets a whole section of movie merchandise to himself!

But he was absent from the 2nd trailer which showevd volcanion and volcanion only, not even Ash was pretsent, it was more a reveal video than a trailer, and yes he wasnt mentioned in the first brief synopsis of the movie opening, but he could just as well play a part in the middle or climax.

None of my statements have will or won't happen sentences. I changed by mind for Zygarde because the story details for the movie has no mention of it. Anyway, I wonder how they would include Zygarde in the plot of Z?

Exactly so far Zygarde is in more movie related material than isn't.

He was in the first trailer, he is on the poster for the short, and he's not only on the official movie merchandise he gets a whole section of movie merchandise to himself!

Was the quote about the next main series games linking Hoenn/Kalos XY/ORAS together false? Because there's your link right there. Imagine if the movie takes them to Hoenn. And the games take you to both Hoenn and Kalos.

Do you guys think a Kalos & Hoenn crossover is possible? I would definitely like such a game, but I doubt it because of the size. Hoenn is huge by itself, and Kalos is not exactly small either (it might even be expanded), so it could be too big for the game.
 
It would certainly be a game worthy of the 20th anniversary.

If it came out this year, of course.

Yeah, actually, the more I think about it, the more I think a crossover is NOT what they are doing. That region duo would be too huge. Kanto and Johto are small, so it was ok, but Kalos and especially Hoenn are huge.

That's a poor comparison. Even ignoring the fact that the summary said 'Ash and his friends', they are the main characters and have recurred for the past few years, Zygarde is a legendary and thus isn't guaranteed to appear in the movie or even past its arc in the anime. They're not in the same position on their potential presence in the movie.

The only hints we have so far is the teaser and the merchandise picture, the former of which we know can be misleading as shown with Lugia and Ho-oh. The picture is a stronger case, but it doesn't 100% confirm it.

Personally though, I'm just taking a wait and see approach as I could see it go either way, it's just a matter of what they're planning on doing with it.

Actually, a Game worthy of the 20th (now that we have Hoopa, the Creation Trio and Arceus, as well as a confirmed Multiverse) would be something similar to what Marvel Comics just did for the past year: Battleworld. They took every reality they've ever done and smashed them all together.

Something where all the notable characters of the past games get drawn into a new, patchwork region created by Hoopa to save the Pokéverse from doom. It would be a brand-new region, with brand new PC's, but the league would be full of fan favorite characters, with all other characters found in random areas of the region, which would have new names but be recreations of areas from old games. And depending where the area originated from, it would match those graphics (ex. Lavender Town would be done in R/G/B/Y graphics, while any Sevii locations would be in FR/LG graphics, so on and so forth). And it would also include references to the anime and Pokémon Adventures, being a full celebration of the franchise.

Sadly, they would never do that, so I'll be satisfied with whatever Game Freak puts out.

But a game that would be centered around the multiverse of Pokémon and a temporary merging? That would be AMAZING.

I think that is a poor idea. I'm glad that Game Freak won't do that. Anyway, the news for February is going to be a letdown to those who got hyped up because no movie would be that big of a deal. Lucky I learnt not to get hyped after the last "big news" and I'm not expecting anything big next month.

I love that idea, it would certainly be the unorthodox type of thing I would hope to expect from Masuda's surprise tactics rather than dumb shock value of forms.

That idea doesn't make any sense and is something that is very unlikely to happen. Take Z for example, it has more of a chance to happen because of the hints that have given to us.
 
Someone suggested the name of the game could be Pokemon 20, because when you don't include the remakes, we have 20 main series Pokemon games.

Just because the anime title is changed to XY&Z, Zygarde has 5 new formes, and there's Pokemon Tretta Z, doesn't really make Z all that likely IMO. I mean, why reveal the name of your game first through all those? The game reveal wouldn't be all that exciting. Same thing goes for Zygarde Complete being revealed to be a box mascot after a certain time has passed.

Of course it wouldn't make any sense to you. Every idea anyone has that doesn't have precedence to back it up will always be that way it seems...

Zygarde is the only legendary left of gen 6 to be mascot though. Also it starts with a z in it's name. Xerneas was in X and it started with an x while Yveltal was in Y with y as the first letter of its name. It is logical for the game to be called Z.

The game can be "Pokemon Z" in spirit, but don't cross out the possibility of the game not being called "Pokemon Z".
