Avatar is a rather limited medium to base elemental colour association on though, considering it pretty much boils everything down to 4 basic elements. Do we have a specific colour for ice? Metal? Blood? Lightning? Not to my knowledge, so you lose many possibilities with such a simplified system.
The Crest of Friendship is Yamato's trait, not Gabumon's. Yes they share similarities (it's part of what makes them great partners), but they are ultimately different people. Even with friendship as a prominent trait, it is still a completely valid action to assault people, in the service of said friends. I fight so valiantly in order to protect the lives of fellow Townies. I'm being so aggressive in my search for evil in order to minimise the deaths of the Townies close to me. After all:

I refer you to the case of PMD Sky's Darkrai. Pretty much everything he did was purely for the evulz. Pokemon are just as capable of malicious acts as Digimon, and such profiling of Darth's? I'm simply pointing out to Eevee that deciding on who must be scum simply by title or species is a fool's errand. You must look deeper into their actions in order to truly accertain their motivations. Such as making logical points which implicate yourself as the very targets we are attempting to destroy, and attempting to use simplified models which do not take into account more than 4 possibilities.

The rich, life giving soil to which I was referring has a dark, rich colour. This earth is the opposite of life giving, plainly different.
