Review SM060: Lilie Soars Through the Air! The PokéSled Jump Tournament!!

Only time can tell in the future episode, if the gang wanted to visit the place again. In which, I believed this episode is only at the lower or outskirts of the Mountain. At top, they haven't explored yet. However, we won't see that until the beginning of the Ula Ula Arc after Nanu & Acerola Introduced.
I still don’t get why they gave snowy a “useless move” (because she can’t use it most of the time) instead of something like ice beam or ice shard.

It's possible Aurora Veil doesn't have the restriction it does in the game.
Maybe you are right. But I still think they should have given snowy a damage dealing move given that before learning “strategic” moves she should know moves that can actually cause damage, because what’s the point of having aurora veil but no move to defeat the opponent??? Because powder snow is weak and hasn’t been shown as a damage dealing attacking, it just freezes the opponent.

Perhaps, in the future she might learn Aurora Beam. But I think the writer won't give that too much ability for her. But, we will see in the future episode and see how it develop.

In this episode, we say goodbye to Alola and Pose.

And welcome to the New Opening and Ending.

SPOILER WARNING: Possibility of Pokémon evolution like Mallow Steenee into Tsareena, Lana Popplio into Brionne. Ash's Litten into Torracat and Rowlet into Dartrix. Lillie lovely Snowy into Alolan Ninetales and her catching of Alolan Sandshrew with getting the Z-Ring and Z-Crystal (Icium Z). Nanu & Acerola making appearance with many Ultra Beasts appears with the dark background covering Guzzlord. Necrozma cameo in a spilt with both mode (Dusk Mane Necrozma & Dawn Wings Necrozma), before it transform into True form Ultra Necrozma.

Is it just me or am I the only one seeing Ash, Kiawe and Lana without their Z-Rings here? Of course they wore jackets and winter clothes which is why we don't see their Z-Rings around. My error, Kiawe was with his Z-Ring at the beginning of the episode.

That is what the episode is all about, where I had been wrote in the preview thread before. The testimony of Pre-evolve and evolve like we seen in Episode 40. Where Ida teaching Lana minus the Z-Ring & Z-Move replaced with Competition.

Wasn't a bad episode if I'm honest, I wasn't surprised that Bewear caught Jessie mid jump, my only relief is that they didn't try some obvious disguise only to be busted and then disqualified

Really wish that Ash caught an Alolan Sandshrew, Alolan Ninetales looks so cute
First of all, Ash wasn't interested in catching an Alolan Sandshrew. Ash will end up with just 3 Alola Pokemon during the Pokemon League, unless he brings back his mons from Oak's place.
I personally don't like Bewear popping in even when TR isn't doing anything bad. They weren't even cheating, for goodness sake! Please explain us why Bewear is doing this!
Bewear is, like, their guardian who keeps an eye for the children. No matter where they are, Bewear will find Team Rocket Trio anywhere, even in space. There's no escape from it.

More like an overprotective parent who'll take the children back home if they wander even an inch too far for their liking. Bewear is honestly going too far for my taste. I find it more annoying than funny most of the time.

I know, I'm just saying I wish he had. Would love to see more of Ash's Pokemon from Oak's lab to come for the Alola league

I'm going to saw this since no one else is saying it. Kukui, how in the world you're not cold in that outfit? Wearing a heavy jacket unzipped while not wearing a shirt and have shorts on isn't going you keep you any warmer then with the lab coat on! Even Kiawe and Hala have more common sense then you by dressing up warmly for the cold weather on the mountain! I wonder how he didn't get frost bite by the end of the episode.

The professor has adapted. He used to be a hot, steamy fire type, and now, he's just a steaming ice type who needs not winter wear to be warm for the love of Burnet keeps him warm at all times. Lol.

I'll have to wait until the English subs come out to be sure, but from I can tell, Aurora Veil acts kind of like a refracting shield in the anime and thus could have some applications in future fights. Sara used it to keep her sled from landing on top of Lillie in their first meeting, and since Lillie seemed to be pretty scared about doing this to begin with, I think it's possible that Snowy could've learned it so that she would be able to land safely or something in the actual tournament.

And Jessie failing her jump due to "Bewear interference" was completely predictable, like always.

And TBH, I'm really not disappointed that Ash decided not to catch an Alolan Sandshrew. It would've meant that half his team was the same as my own Ultra Moon team. I think Piople fits him better anyway in the upcoming Ultra Guardian arc. So that probably means we'll see Alolan Sandslash be owned by some random TotD.

When will he catch it? In his next travel to Lanakila Mountain? He has no reason to go there ever again.
*cough*PokémonLeague*cough*

And even if he never returned there, Alolan Sandshrew can be found elsewhere too. Like Tapu Village. Or maybe somewhere else, if the show makers desire to take that liberty.
