I thought so too, but they decided to reveal the games before the stream tonight

Nope it doesn't, since Nintendo and GF year isn't our year (January - December). For them its April - last day of March.

Late 2018 and early 2019 aren’t that much of a difference tbh. I think most that are expecting a 2018 release also acknowledge that it could release within the first few months of February. It’s more or less the same timeframe, despite technically being a different year

Welp looks like Pokemon Switch's likelyhood for this year is better imo. Of course nothing's fully confirmed yet but still.

I don't think that a PMD game this year would have meant anything about the switch titles release anyway. So, it's not like now the games are more likely to be released this year.
We know nothing more than what we knew last year on the 12th of june if you don't count something like 10000 rumors and fake leaks...

If Detective Pikachu is out (and apparently only Joe Merrick is crazy about it), Pokken has no more DLC and no PMD is on the way what exactly TPCi marketing campain will focus on? The movie and the anime?

Well, I'm glad someone's enjoying it- the way Detective Pikachu is modeled and animated majorly creeps me out, so even though I like Pokemon and mystery stories, I haven't been tempted to pick up the game at all.

The second set of posters, First poster could be Groudon, Zekrom, Hoopa or an unseen legendary. 2nd one shows Raikou, 3Rd one shows Giratina.

I think that different people see different things on those posters. Probably just stylizations...
