Wait, they really are the same studio??? Wow, I'm so glad they finally redid the models- using the example of Slowbro again, the old model's eternally wide open mouth really bothers me.

EDIT: Oh, I guess its mouth is still open- it just looks less robotic looking now, which goes a long way.

Anyone can say they saw something and be lying. Hello, people, no one but nintendo employees/gamefreak employees and maybe pokemon company employees know what this Pokemon switch is about. Don't trust any of these 'leakers'. Some people may have hints at where this game is going but they haven't seen the game or anything. They are just hints towards it being a remake, gen 8, or something else. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if this Pokemon Switch takes place in Orre or is similar to those games in that there are no new pokemon but good story and features. Maybe a few new forms and megas. I won't be surprised by anything they announce because I have looked at all possible outcomes to the worst. So whenever this game is announced, it can't be worse than my worse version. If it sucks, I will just play the updated pokemon showdown. Everyone, relax. How about we play a game, a challenge. The no Pokemon for a week or month challenge. Who can last?

I know what you said makes sense but i really really hope our characters dont look like the characters in pokemon go, cause imo they look super lame and kinda knock off-y, idk how to explain, but they throw me off completly.
 
I think it's understanble to imagine that the Pokémon Switch will not have amazing graphics at all. Remember, this will be their first big entrie in a home gaming console and Game Freak will gradually be more familiar with the hardware as time goes on.

The most recent example is simple: just compare the graphics of X/Y and Sun/Moon. Two couple of games on the same hardware, two games with very distinct graphics.

Well, I believe the minimum bar will be Sun/Moon but in HD, which is not really bad at all. I think we will see Game Freak putting strong efforts in graphics just on their final couple of games for the Switch (Gen 9 or whatever else).

Honestly this leaker game is stupid. They are always saying different things

I believe that the leaker is known to be somewhat reliable, but then again, that just means that they're a good guesser.

I have no faith at all in the 'graphics are bad' rumour.
 
Eh, I don't care if they give up graphics as long as they find another way to present a visually appealing game. Personally, if 2D sprites ever return for the sake of cashing on nostalgia, then fine by me. At least they'd be a lot cleaner on the Switch instead of being pixelated.

Also, I'm guessing that the next Eeveelution(s) to appear would be through trading with specific held items. That's the only established evolution method Eevee has never done yet.

Evo stones (3), friendship (2), location influenced (2), affection (1).

What about simple level up or level up with a specific move or level up with the 3ds upside down or level up depending of gender or level up with a specific pokemon on your team or level up while holding a specific item? I mean...there are plenty of unused evolutionary methods, including completly new ones.

An evolution that happened because you held the 3DS upside down would actually be pretty cool, I think.
 
Part of me would kind of love a Normal Type eeveelution that evolves from Eevee at, like, level 90, because of how you would most likely have to deliberately prevent it from evolving into anything else (most specifically, Umbreon, Espeon, or Sylveon) in order for it to reach that point.

I would also kind of enjoy if other new eeveelutions were even more easy to cause accidentally- its lore says its supposed to be unstable, so it feels like 'preventing your Eevee from becoming exposed to stimuli that will cause it to evolve' should be a very deliberate task. I'm also down for goofy things like the upside down thing- an Eevee that evolves into one evolution if you're playing the Switch in handheld mode, and another if you're playing on a TV (although that would be irritating if you're like, on a roadtrip and want the one where the switch needs to be docked)
