Has the situation on domains been cleared up for sure? Last I heard, there was still a debate as to whether it was domain squatting, someone trying to make LGPE seem real, the Pokemon Company keeping other people from using it, or the real thing, and I don't recall any side getting solid evidence...


But those extra games are going to cost more money. It's not quite an entry point when the next games are all still 30-60$.

I don’t get you’re point. If a person buys a switch just for botw or Mario oddsey. There not gonna buy another games besides those 2?

I started with Hoenn and missed pokemania but it’s crazy how people discredit the popularity of kanto and it’s pokemon.

It’s by far the biggest. I’m not surprised that Pokemon internet boards dislike the idea because we’re hardcore but average joe who just plays video games for fun the casuals. The parents wanting there kids to play the region they grew up with

The appeal is def there

If I remember correctly Pokemon Gray had a domain leak, and that game never happened. Other than that, yeah you're right, but I'm not putting 100% of my faith into it, especially when Smash Bros's Gematsu Leaks are still decently fresh on my mind
 
So it's 6pm where I live in Minnesota...is this event thing happening tomorrow or today (or not at all)? I'm still confused and I'm really bad at time zones but everyone in this thread is getting hyped when I thought we would be waiting for the 30th at 5pm my time which would be the 31st in Japan at 7am when the show thing is supposed to be...right?
 
I don‘t get pokemon stars discussions, as we got stars with ultra moon and ultra sun. People don‘t seem to realize why there was no Pokemon Grey, Pokemon Z or Pokemon Stars, it‘s pretty obvious, gamefreak won‘t ever make a single third version anymore, because two versions sell more for them. So yeah we got stars, maybe not with the content we wished for, but we got it.

If rumors are true it’s happening 9:15pm Minnesota time today

We're all just as confused as you are. We got news from some leaker that is supposedly credible saying that they're will be a press only event that's supposed to be 90 minutes long,and they will reveal the Pokémon games after. So, we might be getting info at around 9:30 PM today since we're in the same time zone.
 
I mean technically Pokémon Yellow shouldn’t be countered as a main core series game because it incorporates characters and events that are not Gamefreak affiliated Cannon and uses the lore of the anime which Gamefreak don’t have any real say in. If we can count yellow as core, we can definitely count Let’s Go as core if it’s a thing.
 
Where can we see whatever they’ll reveal (if they even do) today?

If this press even thing is true why did it take so long to leak? After all, you can't just schedule an event the day of and expect people to show up.

The media was probably told to not say anything. And since they were picked by finger, Nintendo would know who leaked the press event.

What's to stop Average Joe from using Kanto Pokemon in his runthrough of a new game? New Pokemon don't have to be removed for old Pokemon to be enjoyed. And what's to stop him from finding new Pokemon he enjoys by playing the games? If he's just playing for fun, why not have fun with something he discovered?

If parents are going for the nostalgia with their kids, then why not just get the original games they played? It's going to cost much less than buying a Switch and a new game.
 
The Eurogamer guys keep denying that they know about any Pokémon press event on Twitter...
