Aside from the narrator, he will probably be the only 4Kids era voice actor reprising an original role in this movie.

Well Fergus was voiced by Carter Cathcart and Neesha by Lisa Ortiz. Both are still very much active on the show so I don’t see why not.

The other guy I believe is Ted Lewis. And he still does Giovanni so...

Geez, even Japan's joining the "remake" bandwagon.

On the plus side, it's not live-action.

They re-edited, re-animated, and recut that first movie so many times I suppose it was just a matter of time before they threw their hands up and just said "let's just redo the whole thing! Only this time lets make them all look like toys!"

I can only hope that this means more resources are being put toward the next hand drawn movie. I always said that they should take a year or so off and really go all out on a movie like they do with One Piece. Maybe this is it.

...not that I would stop seeing Disney's upcoming remakes, of course.

Ok having had some time to stew, the only real thing that bothers me about the humans is how flat their eyes look - like some poor compromise between the anime designs and 3D rendered models. But, they have time, and Fuji.co's eyes don't look bad in their scene - maybe it's just because of lighting/how static the characters are in the one scene we see them in.

I still think it will be awesome if we get Shudo's original work more-or-less unadulterated, so here's hoping.

Yeah the Pokemon look good, too bad the humans look so bad. Someone said the human faces look like ducks, think cartoon ducks like Donald Duck from Disney or Daffy Duck from WB...I can see that. Especially Ash and Misty's faces.

I'm Looking forward to this; I Love seeing 3D Ash; and Seriously; while I Might unintentionally Trigger someone with my Opinions when I Say this; I still Prefer the Stylized CGI in this movie to the Photo-realistic CGI in the Detective Pikachu Movie. . .

I'm pretty sure that isn't an unpopular opinion. After all, we only have the Pokemon to compare, and the ones in this movie are the "safe" ones.

The problem with the traditional movies isn't "resources" or lack thereof. It's the writing and concepts.

Well, if you are talking about the Pokémon models, then yes, I agree with you. The Pokémon look pretty here, unlike DP.

Iwane draws everything under the sun, but hopefully. He also drew Mondo from the other radio drama, which is unrelated to the movie.
That was a follow-up to him drawing Yuusaku, which he in turn drew because it was DP117's 10th anniversary yesterday. This is different, IT HAS TO BE!!!!!!!
