Mafia USM Ubers Mafia endgame (Town and Genesect victory)

We'll start with that opening refrain to the Calvin suspicion. Is that not an awkward way to frame a suspicion? "Calvin is on this list because..." It is almost like Caps is suggesting that a fabrication is necessary in order to put Calvin in the position of Primary Suspect. "I have selected Calvin as a suspect, and now I will need to produce a reason for that." The cart is in front of the horse. "... because of the shady interactions..." may also reveal a seam in the fabricated case here. He does not say "I suspect Calvin because of his interactions with AussieEevee." The interactions have been pre-qualified as shady by others, and those interactions were sufficient to put Calvin on a list.

I've extracted the bits that interest me most. I agree that the combined vagueness of "shady interactions" and shared accountability of the read with "others" is not ideal. It's suggestive that Caps has a general appreciation for where the thread is/has been regarding Calvin and wants to dip his toes into that pool, but can't quite get himself in there without [the suspicions of other people] as floaties.

He also tacks on an additional piece of a case against Calvin, and I don't think it makes sense. It's a Mr. Fantastic-esque stretch to suggest that Calvin was trying to deflect suspicion onto me yesterday, and also a bizarre leap to suggest that I "caught Calving in a lie", and that this move was then somehow anticipated by the mafia, who preemptively silenced me(?). Calvin was a town read of mine for most of the day, and during Night 1 had dropped down only to a middle-tier read on my rainbow. He'd been receptive to my hunting on Day 1. I don't think any of this suggests an urgency on Calvin's part to have me silenced.

Another minor ping I get here is "Why the kill didn't go through, I don't know." That remark seems shoehorned in. It's not entirely relevant to the discussion of my silencing, but it's tucked into the middle of it arbitrarily. My guess is Caps does have an idea as to why the kill failed because he picked the target.

That bit fits awkwardly alongside the theory Caps provided to describe Calvin as shading you. It's a convoluted thought process that looks like it had to be mangled together with glue and tape.

He isn't trying to solve the game, and I don't think activity is an excuse 'cause he has been around for a decent amount of time. It's more the content of his posts. He's mostly engaging in friendly talks, giving advice, highjacking mechanical posts to give his 2 cents and fake contribution. Reading his interactions with players you don't know where he's coming from, everything is bland and neutral. He's doing that in order to interact with everyone and be memorable and appear like he's trying in the little time he has. That's the agenda I'm seeing.

He's also too friendly lol

This is a similar depiction of speedchuck that I had a few hours ago. When I went into his posts to talk about that though, I found that the content was thicker than it looked holistically. What are some examples of these crimes which most offend you?

His Day 1 is a bit thicker but that's because he was engaged in the whole Sloonei/Nova double standard and the intro push. He was mostly acting as a mediator between you/Sloonei and the Bulba people which just fuels my suspicions lol. His only "hard" stance was on Capsfan I believe and it's the same he has until now, he apparently doesn't remember why and I haven't seen much development there.

Here are posts that resumes my beef with him. I understand that he's skimming and he'd agree that his contribution is calculated but I think it's the bad kind of calculated. He isn't skimming for interesting post to comment on genuinely, he makes off hand comments like the first one here on mechanical talk. There're a few of them and they outnumber his read/original thoughts comments.
Though using the 'two millers' paradigm would be an excellent way to balance role madness. Just completely screw with all expectations.

And the miller claim came later, with an admission that it was a common fake claim.

After we lynched one of them.

I think I believe both miller claims at the moment.
Mechanical question? Speedchuck is your man, even though he's just skimming and thought we had 2 millers :lapras:

Again with the mediating, giving advice and that over the top friendliness. This comes after some shade on returnmch and I'm not seeing him trying to figure the former out.
Understood.

I would say "If you're town, you have nothing to worry about." It's a good motto to live by when thread posting. But mislynches do happen.
I WILL say that you have a higher chance of winning (as town) if you post in the thread, come good or bad. At least, with Sloonei and JJJ playing.

BTW, I like the avatar!
I hate this read. It's the kind of details that gets brushed off because it's not really backtracking or being inconsistent. SMS wasn't really neither of those, he actually double-down on JJJ and felt more like baddie that trapped himself and just have to keep going to appear consistent. That's why he still had you (jjj) as a baddie read and babbled on about it. Speed is being extremely pendantic here and I don't think someone skimming the thread picks up on something like this. He's forcing himself to scum read or shade SMS. Prime distancing material especially with how it's not a "full scumread" 'cause he isn't going to vote there obviously :lapras:
I would believe both of these reasons, but not at the same time. SMS is backtracking under pressure and being inconsistent. Slight scumread for that alone.
It's not a full scumread because 'backtracking under pressure when someone naturally authoritative says you have it backward' is a very human reaction.

Hi

I just got done surfing

I would assume the A in CWAC stands for "actually"

Now just waiting for day phase tbh

Novas is justified in that I have a reputation on many forums for being a weird player - ask DekuNut and sms for confirmation lol

But weird doesn't mean bad

You can lynch me now or pester me with stuff like this later, when I have time to look back at the name of the person I thought had the claim.
I don't like this ultimatum. He wasn't really heavily suspected at this point, it comes after him being corrected about his mistake and he's branding normal questions as being "pestered". Fatalistic and over-reacting.

Did you ever have time to look back and get that name?

We have conclusive information though. Eresh and sloonei have contradicting claims. Having multiple roles is simultaneously weird and imbalanced

I saw this. Replied.

So it was Eresh and Sloonei. I only knew about Sloonei's miller claim at that point, and I tossed a post out when I was either in a hurry or about to be in bed, I forget. Got called on it for having no clue what was happening and went

WELP

WHATEVER

I can't say my reading comprehension is that good. DekuNut comes to mind but I'm not sure he was truly annoyed at your activity. I would guess a bulba native who is more adapted to low activity games.

Ereshkigal/Dale
Caps fan seems to be relishing this activity. A true mafia player

While thinking about Calvin I realized that my confirmation bias based method of scum hunting may not work on less experienced players. If I explicitly give Calvin room to make mistakes, it's easier to see a town image form.

Yes, knowing full well ereshkigal is a tracker.
What did you base the reads off of? Dale made a single comment about me early in Day 1 and then redacted it slightly in the same post. That's literally the only thing he's said.
I don't remember ereshkigal resisting me too strongly.

CapsFan basically told me to leave him alone when I was grilling him.

Oh, that's compelling. Do you mind linking the exchange?

Exchange starts here and ends here. His tone was somewhat agitated in a few places and his final line ("It’s 3AM. You’ve had your fun. Goodnight.") was outright dismissive. I was most vocally opposed to him leading up to my silencing.

I thought Calvin was the one who said that
