I can't wait for the next episode's alola league arc in the next week (30 June - same date as the Kalos League Arc began)

Agreed. The history behind Kukui and Guzma in the games was amazing in my opinion, with Guzma not being able to finish his Island challenge, while Kukui did. Love to see that adapted in the anime. Would also love to see a Guzma Vs Masked Royal fight in the League.

Edit: I think I may have got part of the story incorrect. If I did, I’m sorry. It’s been awhile since I went through S&M.

Yea but sadly Ash, despite being the main character, just isn’t allowed to have nice things and is stuck with the gag Pokémon. Never before have I been looking so forward to a Pokémon being cast into the limbo abyss that is Oak’s lab.

I'd say something about Ulu being random, but I get the feeling we'll get a lot of people like that this League...<_<

I just love the juxtaposition between Hau's badass Decidueye and the wasted potential of Ash's Rowlet. At least they get along though. And of course the animators would find some way to sneakily promote Shaymin merchandise. Gotta increase sales of Shaymin plushies after all.

I didn't say anything about him evolving; I'm pretty sure that I've shaded his evolved forms several times and called them ugly, so of course I'm not one of those "Ash's Rowlet must evolve!" people. I'm just saying that he could've been a much better battler while remaining as a Rowlet the way Bulbasaur and Snivy were.
