I like them, it harkens back to the history of early Paleontology where some scientists just slapped together bones and called it a new species just to get another notch in their belt.
Wait just realized. Tyranitar's not getting a G-max either is he? The hell Gamefreak?! He should've been the first idea for the concept!

Him and Hydreigon are the oddest omissions to me, particularly since they're both used in advertising Dynamaxing.

Not really, because they made Larvitar and Jangmo-o distribution counterparts and we know that Kommo-o didn't get a Gigantamax so for the sake of fairness, Tyranitar shouldn't either.
Ah ok. It makes sense.

so they're supposed to look "mismatched"? is this their quirk?

Absolutely! Zolt is the yellow upper half with the electric type. Draco is the green/purple bottom half with the dragon type. Arcto is the white/blue bottom half with the ice type. Vish is the fish-like upper half with the water type. Like Zweilous said, they're partial fossils slapped together.

I wonder if the leakers will be active tonight/next morning and post stuff about the endgame.

To be fair, they are already kaiju-ish (the influences on Tyranitar being very obvious), so maybe they didn't think they needed Gigantamax forms to get the idea across? Even just with regular Dynamax, Tyranitar is pretty much living its Godzilla dream at that point.

Though I have to admit I don't really care about getting overt references to kaiju media since I'm not very invested in the genre.
