idgaf about the new anime tbh, i'm still watching XYZ.
not that I haven't seen all the episodes- I have- but it's by far and away the best anime of them all, by a landslide, no contest, 100%. Alola's anime was horrendously disappointing for me, so I'm just gonna watch XYZ.

I don't think it'll evolve either. I mean we've only seen it in two episodes sure, but it does give me Piplup vibes. It's got that whole ''''cute'''' thing going on and I don't care what other people say, but its evolved forms are far from cute or marketable imo.
 
I don't mind Team Rocket using random Pokemon from that machine they got as any Pokemon they have will be wasted

Really hope Ash catches some Pokemon otherwise what is the point of keeping him if he'll only use Pikachu the whole series

That’s flat out wrong... I mean you don’t like Team Rocket, but seriously?
Their Pokémon were one of the most expressive on the main cast. You could remove Shaymin, Eevee and some other Pokémon and no one would notice, whereas Mareanie and Mimikyu were brimming with personality, and Bewear who took care of them.

Do you honestly think replacing them with different Pokémon with less (to none) personality every episode is better? Honestly I hate the idea of the mechine.
 
Trouble is Team Rocket's Pokemon are powerful, yet they end up being the ones that get defeated more often

With James, none of his Pokemon have evolved since Johto which adds to my point of them being wasted

When Jessie took part in showcases or contests, they were certainly used

Would you call Ash's Pikachu wasted since it didn’t evolve? Or Gible?

Battle win:loss ratio isn’t everything about a Pokemon, otherwise a lot of the cute marketable Pokémon would be on the main cast. Using your logic we could call a huge chunk of Ash-captures wasted. Further reinforced by the fact that Sun/Moon series wasn’t big on battles. The TRio shines when their Pokémon brim with personality.

Even though I’m pretty neutral on the TRio, I’ve loved the personality of a lot of their Pokémon. Arbok, Weezing, Mimikyu, Mareanie and Bewear are my favourites.
 
Ash's team in the first 9 episodes of previous regions:

Kanto: Pikachu, Butterfree, Pidgeotto
Johto: Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Charizard, Squirtle, Heracross
Hoenn: Pikachu, Taillow, Treecko
Sinnoh: Pikachu, Aipom, Starly, Turtwig
Unova: Pikachu, Pidove, Oshawott, Tepig, Snivy
Kalos: Pikachu, Froakie, Fletchling
Alola: Pikachu, Rowlet

Not always breaking patterns is a good thing, no, this time is horrible 9 or 10 episodes in and Ash has not catched anything new, so, so disappointing.

At this point it seems we should only speculate on Go's team.

The TRio's Pokemon had FAR more personality than any of the Pokegirl's Pokemon throughout the entire SM run. Eevee, Vulpix, Shaymin, Primarina? They didn't have any personality at all

Team Rocket benefits from having Pokemon with personality, BW was hard to sit through as their Pokemon were essentially just mindless drones that they had literally no issue giving up to Giovanni in order to save face for their failure

So as expected, Go caught every single Bug Type in Kanto which appear to have been left at Sakuragi Institute

I'm going to guess Go could call upon any of them at any time like Ash and his Pokemon at Oak's lab

I think it’s stupid he catch Pokémon like caterpie and metapod why not evolve caterpie into metapod lol
