I've personally been considering using a Shedinja and possibly also a Ninjask in a replay of Emerald someday. If you know the opponent's moveset, Shedinja can be pretty much indestructible if used correctly.

My monopokemon challenge lasted 4 episodes... before I discovered that the game actually forces you to do double battles at times.

So I turned it into a duo pokemon challenge. Anyone want to volunteer to lend their name to my new teammate?

Gen 1 was my least favourite generation before Gen 7. Gen 7 was my least favourite before Gen 8.
Though my view may change if they end up giving us back all the pokemon in Sword and Shield.

Well, my playthrough was A LOT more challenging:
No buying items
No use of TMs
No grinding (though catching) except for misty and sabrina
No training other than eevee
No having more than eevee in party except for double battles where Due to the previous rule it is untrained

But whatever just nickname anything Ely, maybe catch a pikachu , however grinding one might be hard since it's only found in viridian forest, also I'm assuming that you are now in mt. Moon (haven't watched the 3rd and 4th eps yet)

My Let's Go LP hasn't started yet. That's my Shield LP on the YouTube channel. :)

But yeah, I'm at Mt Moon. It was the battle with TR that made me realise I need a second pokemon. I don't know. I might do it the way you suggested and only have the second out during double battles... But I love how my pikachu runs around Finn and I in the open world.
