Still, the anniversary can be celebrated with a remake, many other game franchises have done this.

True, however, you did say it was unlikely that new games would release due it being an anniversary year even though it doesn't seem like there's a connection between anniversaries and release dates. Yes, Pokemon games typically do not come out on anniversary years, but I think that's just a side affect of the release schedule rather than GameFreak purposefully not releasing games during those years because they're anniversaries.I didn't eliminate the possibility of a new gen when I said that post.
You know there are a whole bunch of other times they could announce remakes.
It's only february.
...Unless they decide to release games in months other than november for once. Maybe then we wouldn't wait for so long.Except there can't be a remake this year with a DLC in Summer and another one in Fall, it will make them obscelate.
That’d be an year long pre-release period, which generally isn’t used for remakes. They could still announce them this year.
Probs towards the end of it.
That year is the 25th anniversary so it is unlikely that we're getting anything that year other than a Kanto remake or a new gen. That’d be an year long pre-release period, which generally isn’t used for remakes.
Its probably going to be announced June 2021 and released in November 2021.
Why do you keep repeating yourself to kick start arguments that have already been made? That year is the 25th anniversary so it is unlikely that we're getting anything that year other than a Kanto remake or a new gen.
We have enough Kanto remakes and only two years for gen 8 is too short. I'm pretty sure we discussed this before...That year is the 25th anniversary so it is unlikely that we're getting anything that year other than a Kanto remake or a new gen.
Kanto isn't some high and mighty region just because it was the original. It being the original isn't reason alone to remake it every anniversary, especially when Sinnoh represents a new milestone for Game Freak, which to be honest, celebrating a new milestone for the 25th anniversary is much more important than celebrating the beginning of the series because without the new milestone, the series wouldn't have lasted as long as it did if it wasn't for milestones like developing for a completely different system than the previous systems. That year is the 25th anniversary so it is unlikely that we're getting anything that year other than a Kanto remake or a new gen.
DLC pretty much kills all previous standards of the series. We have enough Kanto remakes and only two years for gen 8 is too short. I'm pretty sure we discussed this before...
You’re thinking they’ll develop an entire region and put it up as DLC?DLC pretty much kills all previous standards of the series.
No, I was saying that thanks to DLC it is now possible for a gen to be just the initial pair. You’re thinking they’ll develop an entire region and put it up as DLC?

Meh, neither of those DLC ideas are interesting enough to many. It'll be neat if they do up Unova and Kalos as DLC expansion packs for SwSh though. Like a post Team Galactic/Flare version, no major storyline involved, you just get to go around those regions, sort of like how Kanto was included in the (H)G(S)S games.
