It's clearly more than just regular wind. There's a bluish, crescent wave coming off Ash just as he's about to start the battle. Definitely not the same animation as that of wind blowing off due to a battle.
Same pulse happens when Pikachu attacks Tauros though, so it's not Aura

Didn't say it necessarily was (since I'm not so sure about it actually being Aura myself (unless they either make it so Pikachu has it too or treat it like it's the Force from Star Wars)), but it clearly isn't a gust of wind, as you were claiming, either.

Considering recently where Ash shared his energy with Pikachu during the Father-Son Pikamehameha, it's not a stretch to think that Ash did it again with the rodent and powered him up, only this time it's officially Aura. This idea actually came from FanaticLAGuy's Road to be a Pokemon Master fic series but it makes a lot of sense when you think about it, since Aura is basically life energy. And for an untrained Aura user, it's most likely done subconsciously when he gets excited, especially now that his Aura is awakening in this series.

You do know how Z-Moves work, right?

That was Ultra Aura from the Z-Ring, not Ash's innate Aura abilities - completely different thing; Ash was using Koko's power to defeat the Tapu

Hopefully the aura thing won't be an awkward one-off gimmick to magically hatch riolu

From watching the preview and looking at the egg, and comparing it to the images of Riolu and Sobble, it's likely that Ash would get a Sobble. I just don't think a Riolu would hatch out of that egg IMO. I could be wrong, but the only way to say for sure is to wait until the episode comes out.

If the egg hatching in the next episode does turn out to be Sobble, then it could be possible Ash may get a Riolu sometime later in the series.

Looking at the preview again, are you sure that wind isn't just indicating the beginning of the battle against Tauros? I'm all for Ash showing off capabilities for Aura, but I think it's a stretch here...

The one thing I’ve enjoyed most about this series is that they’ve gone away from the typical types for Ash. It’s a welcome change for me for him to have a dragon and ghost type rather than the typical flying, fire, water and grass types that he always has and then one of less common types on his team.
It was fun while it lasted. It seems he'll go back to catching the typical types soon.

Is this sarcasm? I really can't tell but if it's not, then I'll explain; the 'wave guidance' part of the title confirms that it's a Riolu egg since that's the Japanese term for aura, i.e. the power that Riolu and Lucario are known to wield.

Not to mention the Sobble in the preview, definitely looks like its taking place in the Galar region whereas the egg is hatching in Vermillion City.

I believe that the aura we're seeing in the battle is not Ash's power. I think it is just Riolu sensing the battle with its own aura, either before or after hatching. If it is before, maybe it's the writters way of having riolu sense the bond between Ash and Pikachu and by that, deem Ash worthy enough as a trainer to hatch from its egg and be with him. But this is only my prediction. I could be totally wrong. But it would be pretty cool if I were right for once in one of my anime predictions.

Mr.Mime, Dragonite , Gengar
All of Ash's pokemon
and next Riolu

Do you think Ash will catch any of those Pokemon besides of course Mr Mime, Dragonite, Gengar and Riolu/Lucario(pretty much confirmed) who he already has
He already has Pikachu(so no Riachu), Snivy, Pignite, Charizard and Sceptile
Yamper is owned by Koharu

Does anybody know what that Pokemon is behind the Team Kato TV company logo, next to Charmeleon
