It's a game, though, where collecting is a huge thing. I hope you at least understand why many felt bad about it.

Oh, I definitely do understand, don't get me wrong. I just like to view stuff at multiple angles instead of with tunnel vision.

Also, bad is a bit of an understatement. Some people went absolutely friggin' ballistic and it that point, it seemed more like a personal vendetta than anything else (Which I find absolutely ridiculous cause it is a game at the end of the day. The heavy stuff that happened is way out of order for whatever caused it.)

Nice to know that someone else can write better what I was trying to say some days ago.

And this fact does worry me. Does it mean that the majority of Pokémon consumers are okay with taking "cuts" (eg. GF reusing old models despite stating they are reworking, Dexit, etc.) and will continue to support GF regardless? I would hope that we have a voice, but the numbers say otherwise.
As much attention as Dexit got I think Sword and Shield had much bigger problems in terms of cutting; it simply did not feel like a full price home console RPG in terms of content.
Edit: Honestly, I wonder of it they thought Raid Battles would be a lot more fun than they are since they make up a good chunk of the postgame content.

They are still human, though. No amount of money would free me from that stress.
Yeah, and humans have access to the block/hide buttons, and the ability to not look at negative comments. It's not like this is the first time Game Freak's received criticism, think about all the times people have called designs lazy or griped about something else in a game. And the money comes from people still enjoying their product, it's not like it's an unrelated thing.

We clearly saw they don't care. They could just have made an announcement saying they will patch the remaining Pokémon. They didn't.

Also, I am still bummed that Megas were killed and I think that will be permanent. The SN Dex entries show they regret doing them. And no amount of complaints can bring them back.

No, they don't. It's just flavor text that people are reading way too much into.

For one thing, Megas were in LGPE even though they had every excuse to leave them out of those entries. If they "regret" them so much, then why?

Second, yeah, this is just dripping with regret: "After Mega Evolution, it becomes able to fly. Perhaps because it's so happy, it rarely touches the ground."

But anyways, I don't see Megas ever coming back. They will keep making new gimmicks under various excuses

If they do the clearly supreme pokemon z instead of the useless remake of the worst region a.k.a. sinnoh, then a good chance we'll get them
I'm probably the one to care the least about megas, some were cool new forms, but even they felt like boring pokemon with spikes slapped on them, in addition to ruinning competitive for being simply a button that turns a pokemon into a sweeper, they can be nerfed I guess but with how they were it wasn't going well, I could spend the whole day trying to explain why megas are worse than dyna/gigantamax, but all what matters is that I'm not a big fan of megas ,which still doesn't really matter.

You're not the only one. I happen to not like Megas (I was really anti-Mega during the XY reveal cycle), as well. I really disliked Z-moves, and Dynamax is just sigh-worthy. But the raidbosses can be fun sometimes.

I too, don't like Megas, they were fun at first, but most of the selection of Pokemon that got them really didn't need any sort of power boost, which is the main reason why I didn't like the mechanic.

And, you guys are also treating the Expansion Pass like it's a completely new Pokemon game, when it is not.

wait till realesy they hide galarian slowking and more probably then we think... we got what
6 legendary, 3 pseduo legendary 2 out of 3 revelead galarian forms in one of them?

7+3+3=13 new pokemon and 7 new revealed Gigantamax forms... makes me wonder if 13 more pokemon and 3 or 5 new forms arents hidden somewhere... taking we get 2 expansion passes in diffrent dates... they hide a lot of crown tundra too actually...

if they put galarian slowking into crown tundra thats still not enough galarian forms for regular pokemon....

I'm kinda fine with Pokémon locked to certain areas/habitats for that bit of realism.

But this isn't the problem with Dexit. This had always been the case with Pokemon. The problem is not being able to bring pokemon from your older games into the newer games even with paid services like Home.

Not all pokemon were available in XY and SM but you could bring them over from the earlier games. You can't do the same in Swoosh.

Considering that the series is focused on collecting I can see why people were pissed. Also, let's please get back on topic, as this thread is meant for discussing future games in the 8th generation.

It can't be denied that DLC replaced third versions, at least for this generation. They literately confirmed that the IoA and CT replaced any Gen 8 enhanced version.
Yeah. It's clear that there will be no expansion game this gen, so it's either remakes or nothing.

Next games will be pokemon grey or z or xyz or stars or ultra space or ultra stars or kanto remakes or LG Johto(yeah I know they said no let's go games are planned, but they could easily change their plans or maybe they lied about it cuz of course) or SwSh sequels or gen 9 and I won't be convinced otherwise until GF makes an official announcement

You forgot about Diamond and Pearl remakes. Those are also a possibility.
