Yep. Ash always tends to go for the fast physical sweepers doesn't he?

Just give him an Hatenna too and we are all set to go lol.

And in all honesty, I think the argument that Ash won't catch base forms Pokemon anymore kinda of fell flat on it's face after Farfetch'd evolved after just 3 focus episodes, and Sobble who is pretty much set to evolve literally after having a single ep focused on itself.

Could do for a Blaze-like scenario where it rampages out of control and needs to keep itself calm to function.

It seems like Absol and Piplup might play bigger roles than we thought!

Otherwise it seems odd to group them in with Ash, Gou, Chloe, Leon and Raihan's Pokémon doesn't it?

Ash - Lucario, Gengar, Dragonite, Sirfetch'd, Dracovish
Gou- Cinderace, Sobble, Grookey, Scizor, Misdreavus, Skwovet
Chloe - Yamper, Eevee, G. Ponyta (?)
Leon - Charizard
Raihan - Duraludon
Morpeko - Team Rocket

So where do Absol and Piplup fit into this?

Oh God PLEASE either give this Piplup to Chloe or Ash or at least be Dawn's PLEASE I'M BEGGING YOU ON MY KNEES.

But honestly I think it might be Dawn's, in order to promote BDSP and Legends. Dawn is one of the most popular Pokégirls, and having her return in a series where the whole thing is about travelling to other regions, AND having a Sinnoh remake ready to come out just seems logical to me.
 
I just can’t imagine Piplup having much priority if Goh captures it, since he already has a water starter on hand. Then again, if Sobble is an Inteleon by then, then that’ll just be something else that works out in Goh’s favor. Hopefully Ash catches it or it belongs to Dawn.
 
Honestly, they're better off just bringing back Dawn than giving a Piplup to Goh. They're gonna wind up promoting BDSP somehow. Best way is bringing back Dawn, and if this is a series that is gonna bring back former traveling companions like Iris, there's a good chance it could happen.

I really do not give af who gets Absol but I really hope Gou does not catch Piplup

They already hard a time balancing the Galar Starters as is.
Trying to add in a Sinnoh Starter into the mix just feels like a recipe for disaster

Granted we still don't know for sure if this Piplup will join the Main cast or just be a Lab Pokémon. But given how Popular Piplup is, the Former sounds a LOT more likely...

Tho if Piplup does end up joining the main cast soon, that would probably explain why they're rushing Sobble's Evolution

They wouldn't do all this promotion (it's literally called Project Piplup) just for a few episodes. If I'm right about Chloe, I doubt that Dawn is ever returning especially when she has a feudal counterpart with a cute Oshawott/Rowlet/Cyndaquil to shill.

I'm not sure how seriously I'd take that image personally, especially since that Eevee clearly isn't Chloe's because the pattern on its tail is a male Eevee pattern, but I still think the idea of her owning a Piplup is cute. Unless Dawn and Piplup do make a reappearance to advertise BDSP :enzap:
