SV Leaks and/or Rumours Thread

If I recall correctly the leakers said it looks a little bit like Avalugg but covered in icicles or something like that.
I hope it won't be slow and bulky. Ice is just a bad type defensively.

I can't wait for almost all new pokemon, but there are couples such as Ice/dragon pseudo, fairy/steel pink hammer, grass/fire pepper, water dolphin and dunsparce evolution I am really looking forward to.

Edit: And since we don't know anything about paradox forms, I am quite nervous that they will be just different in colour, not adding concepts as regional forms did. And pokemon choices for paradox forms also do not look promising. I mean, not-fully evolved pokemon, but they don't gain any new evolution? Just why? I am not sure if I'll like them. And how will these pokemon appear in future games? I don't want to miss out if somehow I like their designs.

Just what’s Game Freak’s obsession with making Ice-types slow and bulky anyway? They keep doing it despite the type being designed around being fragile.

I think It's about time for a new redesign of the type chart with Ice resisting Water, Bug resisting Fairy (and Fairy not resisting Bug anymore) and Grass losing its Flying weakness.
I also hope Frostbite will be in competitive too, being the special version of burn.

Personally I say hold expectations on the Ice dragon in terms of looks. Cause I don't know why, but I feel like we're be getting a more goofy looking pseudo legend this time around. When there's a Garchomp or Dragapult, there's the Dragonite or Goodra. But considering it's typing, it being the pseudo I feel is somehow going to compensate for it's fragile typing somehow. But I am expecting another tanky ice mon that hits like a truck.

I wouldn't call Dragonite or Goodra goofy myself, personally.

I also hope that if the amount of new moves are true, we at least get some more decent Special Fighting, Special Rock and Physical Fairy attacks. There's only like, Vacuum Wave, Aura Sphere and Focus Blast or Ancient Power and Power Gem.

Seems like an 'identity' thing to the type, like how several typings have one. Whether it's a good one or not is something else.

Ice should have just been Water-type anyways. Could have made distinction between Water-types that way by some focusing on 'cold water' attacks like Ice Beam or some with 'warm water' like Scald. Agree on the rest though. Fairy's too good and Grass can also use the help.

So they’re making Ice-type Pokémon intentionally bad? Ouch.

Not all of them are bad. There's Weavile, Kyurem-Black and White, Mamoswine. GameFreak just needs to start accepting Water is the bulky-type of the two and Ice is the offensive cannon of both.

Not intentionally. They're trying to make ice types compensate their fragility but upping they're survivability. And as said above, by RK9 it can sometimes work out, it just doesn't always work. Honestly in terms of the battle department in the production team, I do not understand their thought process in stat planning, but sometimes they hit, and sometimes they miss.

It's very possible I missed it, but has either Khu or Kaka mentioned anything specific regarding the Hisui forms and moves that debuted in Legends Arceus? Stuff like BP, accuracy, effects, but also stuff like abilities and such? I assume not since it's all very specific info but they did talk about Intrepid Sword's nerf too.

I believe that most of them will return for these games, especially Barb Barrage and Psyshield Bash.

Honestly, I'm surprised Kaka hasn't spoken on what "mag" is supposed to be. I'm confident it's one of the Magnezone lines due to Khu's recent statement, but I'm surprised no one asked that question to kaka.(Or maybe they did, but he never responded.)

I wouldn't really trust this guy, half the stuff they say is from some supposed source that we have no proof of even being real/legit (Could be making this stuff up, could be getting duped by some other guy)
Edit: Some stuff is also his interpretations of things and not confirmed info, which I think this might be.
Edit 2: Really it's just a mess of stuff from kaka and khu, stuff from some supposed third source, and personal interpretations of leaks being passed on as actual leaks.

It seems really iffy since the official website states:

If you beat all eight Gyms spread across the region and collect their Gym Badges, you will be able to take on a special test called the Champion Assessment. If you successfully pass the assessment, your strength will be acknowledged and you will be given the Champion Rank, making you an object of admiration for other Trainers.

So, no, you do not 'automatically' ascend to champion rank. The Champion Assessment is something you have to do first. Whether or not it involves battling the e4 or a champion is unknown, but it honestly seems like the most likely scenario.

And based on what Kaka has said, you can go to league hq and try and take the champion's assesment without doing the gyms but you will just be failed due to not having done so.
Kinda like how you can reach victory road in some games but you get turned around if you are missing badges.

Oh yeah I wanted to mention this. And it's about the final battle. For one, we now know Paradox Donphan is gonna be a Titan Boss right? And they'll depend on version which variant. Well if they did that for a boss pokemon, I was wondering since Volcarona's doing that as well, what if it's involved in the final battle. Not it itself as the final battle but the last enemy of the game's gonna catch one and use it.

Yeah, and because of that I believe that the game will actively force you to complete Path of Legends last of the three paths.
