  • I've been debating posting my Olympia-centric vignettes to Thousand Roads but seeing as it was SO much of a hassle to post them here, and both forum platforms run off the same code, I'm like "Nah never mind."

I'm sorry it's so much of a hassle, but I'm at least happy you were able to post them here... we're privileged to enjoy your writing, Audre! I wonder if there's anything we can do to adjust your experience? (I'm in semi-regular contact with the TR head, so I can ask her about changing things over there as needed!) If I'm remembering correctly is it that the text editor is finicky, or is it other things...?

Yes, it's mainly the text editor. I don't believe anything can really be done about that... I have been reading fics over on TR and liking them very much!
I found this creator who makes TikToks/Youtube shorts explaining Pokémon cards that are connected via their card art, and by doing this they describe the funny things that the Pokémon are doing (or just how they're living their lives). They are unknowingly helping a blind person discover the cuteness, helpfulness, scariness, and power of Pokémon in a media said blind person would otherwise never be able to consume.
I just learned of Mundane Halloween in Japan. Next.year I wanna do it!

I've actually never heard of this, that sounds so fun!! Thank you for talking about it, Audre~.

mundane halloween really reminds me of the gay halloween trend on twitter where people dress as really niche memes popular on gay twitter
If I had a nickel for every time I reflexively began typingin HTML in these forums, having to fix it after the fact, I'd have one dollar... Which isn't a lot, but that's twenty nickels.
Very happy birthday, Audre! Thank you for being around here and being one of the writers I really look up to here, it's really encouraging to be able to read the writing of and interact with such talented people! Here's hoping this year will come with lots and lots of amazing reading~. *sparkles*

Grazie mille! I'm honored to be sharing my writing here, and even more flattered you look up to me and my writing prowess.
Early this morning, I had the sudden urge to check if a book I've been wishing and wishing to read was finally available to obtain, and it was! I have never been so swept away by a book as I have with this book, and I'm only about a quarter in. As well, when I woke up from my nap about ten minutes ago (as I'm typing this) I received an e-mail from Bookshare (a platform and organization where blind/visually impaired people can get books) notifying me that my request for Alice Fulton's first (and only to my knowledge) essay collection has been fulfilled, so I've grabbed that book too! I consider both books to be early birthday presents to myself. I couldn't be happier today!
I hate the way a lot of these forums are coded. It took me forever to edit my About section for both here and Thousand Roads. I'd love to post a couple of the works that I've posted here over there, but I'm not trying to make it a whole effort that it ultimately is. Sigh...
Slowly coming to the realization that the team I've given to the one pokémon fan-kid I've fleshed out is basically the team I myself would have in the pokémon world, with one exception. Also this OC is literally just a much more extroverted version of me and I find that funny for some unknown reason.
My cat climbing up so she can stare out the window is the most adorable sight in the world. I can't believe we've had her ever since she was literally born—she was one of seven children found hiding with their mother in our backyard. We raised six out of the seven before giving four away to others.
    New title time!

My little brother is helping me re-download Pokémon Masters after not having played it since about 2021. Let's see if memory is nice to me so I can play without re-learning too much. (Sadly I will probably never be able to scout without assistance or create teams, but I can battle by myself.) I think I'll put future updates (and answers to questions if any) in my blog thread, but for now, time to wait for everything to finish downloading (again)!

If you'd like to exchange codes, mine is 4247-3707-5559-5700! Either way I hope you enjoy it, I like to pick it up every few days and play a little bit of whatever event is happening!
Those who continually edit and update the Quotes pages on Bulbapedia, y'all be doing God's work. SERIOUSLY. Thank you for all that you do. That is all.

REAL... I use it for characterization help when writing a lot! Bulbapedia in general is super helpful but the quotes pages especially are so useful...

And as someone who tends to play Pokémon in languages other than English, I find them particularly useful for comparison purposes haha. I love seeing the differences between localisations!
I keep telling myself that I should continue, and ultimately finish reading, Versi del senso perso but I keep getting more books in the meantime. I get so sidetracked I hate it. This collection of poems is so whimsical, I feel an English translation, if one was to be published, couldn't do it justice.
Congratulations on being a moderator now! Your username is now in italics! Excited to have you on here, Audre, you'll be a great asset to the Workshop, I'm sure!
