I like her for who she is too. She seems to have the most depth of the girls. Maybe out of all of Ash's traveling companions.

HD, huh? I'll definitely have to check that out! I think the second movie was my favorite of all the Pokemon movies, but I think it's because Lugia's Song was such a beautiful melody. Plus, the characters didn't forget everything that happened to them at the end; they even referenced their experiences in that movie in the anime!

May and Dawn have more toned-down personalities, too mellow for my taste. I'm not trying to bash them, I just think they're less poignant than Misty. I think I like Misty so much because her personality is more fiery and passionate, and she was older than Ash so he was learning from her (whereas May and Dawn do a lot more learning from Ash). That's not to say that Ash didn't teach Misty anything along the way, but in general, Misty was more knowledgeable and taught Ash more than he taught her. Four years is definitely too long!

Indeed. I am a Pokeshipper (but not a hater- if you ship Misty with someone other than Ash, I do not mind and will not judge), and many of the posters on the Pokeshipping thread are upset by her lack of presence on the show as of late.

Yay for Misty! I hope they bring her back to the series, even if only for a cameo.

I'd say the 2nd generation games are the best.
