Pokemon Yellow. I had played Red/Blue at school before that, but the first I owned was Yellow.

Shiny Pidgey on Gold/Silver (I don't remember which). I thought it was glitched, so I caught it to show to my friends at school. One of them told me that it wasn't a glitch, and actually was a shiny.

I say it's not even close. Kanto > everywhere. That's the only region where I like EVERY Pokemon (from starter all the way to final evolution) Hoenn would be great if not for Mudkip's evolutions. I hate their designs. In Sinnoh, I only like Infernape. Johto, I like the whole Cyndaquil line...
