A lot of my favorite Pokemon that I've trained very well tend to be Fighting type. I like it because it is a very balanced type in my opinion. It may not be all that great in the Special stat department, but physical stats are where it truly shines, especially in the case of the Attack stat...
Still have yet to take on the Battle Tree, but in Pokemon Y, I've at least successfully defeated the Battle Chatelaines in each battle style on "normal" difficulty. I think you have to win 20 straight matches in a row to even fight them, so that's not too impressive compared to the numbers I'm...
I'm so typical; I always pick the boy character [because I am one] and give them their canon name. In Pokemon Y, I didn't even customize Calem's look, and I probably won't be doing it for Sun version either. I am the primary definition of default!
I don't think the protagonists of Sun & Moon...
Quirks, huh? Hmmm, keeping the starter of the game as my strongest Pokemon is something almost everyone tends to do, so I don't think that classifies as a quirk. I do notice however, that if I manage to get a Pikachu, Lucario and/or Gardevoir, I place them on my main team right away (not...
Of course, Mega Evolutions [for example] are indeed a very welcome and fresh addition to the series, I am in no way trying to say they're pointless additions. And I'm also not trying to say that these games don't deserve remakes. All I'm saying is that at the current standpoint, I personally...
I'm a real sucker for remakes; there are a few games in general I can think of right now that deserve a remake! But of course, that really depends on the age of the game in question. After ten years or more, I'd say that's a good time to make a remake. In the case of the Pokemon series, we're...
I was just about to mention that; Toxic is the one move that baffles me the most! One other move that is a bit weird to me is Play Nice. It's described as the two opposing Pokemon becoming friends, so the target's Attack stat goes down. But that friendship must end pretty fast if said target...
Pokemon Ability Ideas
Stabilize - An ability specific to Steel type Pokemon. It makes them immune to Ground type attacks such as Dig or the devastating Earthquake. In Double and Triple Battles, it also benefits its allies by reducing their damage to these attacks by half.
Icy Surge & Frozen...
I'm neutral to new Eeveelutions, but if anything, I've always wanted to see a Steel type evolution for Eevee! It could have all of this bad*** armor and everything!
Let's see; the starters I picked for each generation are as follows:
Gen 1: Charmander
Gen 2: Cyndaquil
Gen 3: Treecko
Gen 4: Turtwig
Pokemon White: Snivy
Pokemon White 2: Tepig (you can blame the anime trailer for that choice)
Gen 6: Froakie
Sounds cool at first, but then they'd have to rework the entire type matchup mechanic! I'd say stick to two types, but maybe some Pokemon could get a new Ability that gives a STAB to specific moves not correspondent to their type combination. For example, Black/White Kyurem can get an Ability...
Voices in the Pokemon series could actually work well, if done the right way. In the case of the Pokemon themselves, it would be rather easy; just give them their voices from the anime and viola, a bunch of time saved (except for possible new ones)! As for the human characters, yeah, it might...
Nobishi could sense a bit of distrust in Selene's voice. Of course, he could understand why; Dark type Pokemon have a terrible reputation for being mischievous and often times grow up to become cruel, sadistic or just downright evil, even more so than Ghost types! Psychic types in particular...
Nobishi: ("CRAP!")
Nobishi had not been counting on the Gardevoir to to notice his presence that quickly. He jumps to dodge the attack, but the blast manages to graze him
Nobishi: "ACK! (She noticed me almost immediately! Drat! It's a good thing I became Ghost type after using Shadow Sneak...
I thought no one was gonna reply at this point! Better late than never I guess! Anyways...
Before he had much time to think of his first destination, Nobishi felt his Splash Plate vibrating.
Nobishi: ("Huh? I don't think the Splash Plate's ever done this before! It feels kinda weird...
No idea if I'm the first person to say this or not, but one WTF moment everyone here probably knows about is that Biker guy in the Battle Subway. "I am a Biker. But I've never ridden a bike...". He says this while on a motorcycle, in a subway train... Seriously, that dude has reached...
Just a little heads up, I've never actually done an RP before, so if this comes off amatuerish in any way, please excuse my "noobness". Anyways, this RP will follow a few guidelines:
1. The story will be developed as more people contribute; if nobody does, then you'll just a have a little...
I usually try to reference other video game or anime characters in my Pokemon nicknames (or I'll just come up with something random). Some that I've given that I like are:
Charizard - Landia, named after the dragon boss from Kirby's Return to Dream Land. Coincidentally, Landia's EX form is...
Yeah, I guess Poison is the type I have the fewest use with... Though I have some favorites that are dual typed with Poison, such as the Bulbasaur evolutionary line, Roserade, Gengar, and Croagunk. At any rate, Poison types are bound to be used more often nowadays with the Fairy type being...
