Empoleon or Gastrodon?

I need to know which is better for my team. Empoleon is only weak against 3 types. Gastrodon is water/ground type so he can take out electric pokemon with mud bomb. Who should i chose for my team?

Assuming that DarkTorterra meant for wifi battles, this guy can take care of some Bulky waters, and takes care of CS mence, while Gastrodon is just a weaker Swampert. If DarkTorterra meant ingame, then choose whichever one you like

A Salamence holding the item Choice Specs. It generally uses these moves: Draco Meteor/Flame Thrower/Hydro Pump/Dragon Pulse. Empoleon resists (almost) all of this, and not many things are able to survive Draco Meteor from this guy.

And actually, in this case, there isn't a specific page for 'choice specs'...and actually I can't find it in there but it's a great source for almost any query and needs to be added to =D

So, Choice Specs - from the magpiepedia, what I know, I mean -
It raises the Special Attack of your pokemon x1.5 but they can only use one attack, until they faint or are called back.

Empoleon is a nice special defense sponge. Only weak to Fighting, Ground and Electric. It does have trouble with Magnezone but it can usually survive the first shot of T-Bolt and hopefully Roar it out to escape.

Gastrodon is a slightly better Quagsire or slightly worse Swampert. It has Recover, which is quite a nice one-up on the two, but it's defensive stats aren't as nice as Swamperts and Quagsire has Water Absorb. It also has a much smaller movepool then Swampert and Quagsire.
