When it's not targeting an Ultra Beast, the Beast Ball has the lowest catching rate of all Poke Balls at 0.1%, and Beldum has the distinction of having the lowest catch rate of 3, which is a trait usually reserved for Legendary Pokemon. Compounded with the fact that Shiny Pokemon in general have a 1/1024 of being found (or 1/314 if you have the Shiny Charm) and the fact that the highest chance of getting a Hidden Ability Pokemon in a SOS Battle is 15%... yeah.

Isn't this compounded by the fact that one of Beldum's few moves is Take Down, thus subjecting it to recoil damage outside of Struggle?
