If you are trying to write a Suikoden level story with 100+ or more main characters, what are some strategies to make sure they all get development? How do you make that many characters feel unique, and how do you create an interesting plot with that many characters?

100 MAIN characters sounds extremely scary. At the minimum, I think it’d take around 40 chapters to introduce them all.

But what do I know? I haven’t really studied or have any knowledge of Suikoden. My advice is to study that and see how they introduce all the characters and find a scene for each character that makes them feel real.

Well, that reminds me of when a now defunct mobile RPG game based on the Tales series had the audacity to have around 21 playable characters as the protagonist(s). 21 sounds like a stretch, but a 100!? I've hardly heard much about the Suikoden series but boy if I was one of the writers for the game I wouldn't round it up to ALL of them otherwise.

I'm down on writing stories and fics with a lot of protagonists but writing 100 of them sounds like a tough pill to swallow.
