Damn most people already said the ones that I was gonna point out. I guess I'll just say that a Yungoos and a young trainer appear in Hau'oli city near the tourist bureau building in S/M but they can't actually be interacted with - they were removed in US/UM iirc.
This threw me for a loop, because - okay, you have to understand, I talk to EVERY Npc. Not just on first go, either - every time I play. So when I read this, I thought I had entered into some proper Mandela effect stuff. How could I not know this? Surely I’d have tried to interact with that person and noticed that they didn’t say anything, and surely I’d notice their absence in USUM, especially since I love to pinpoint the little differences between SM and USUM?
I booted up my game to investigate, and then it made sense - the Trainer and their Yungoos are fenced off (and next to City Hall, not the Tourist Bureau - and for some reason I misread your post and thought it said Marina, so I spent a good while looking, lol). Upon spotting them, I felt like I had actually noticed them before, but then never really put much thought into it. I definitely didn’t realize their absence in USUM.
Good stuff!
Here’s another minor one along similar lines: In SM, at the Malie Community Center, there’s a whiteboard in the room with the Probopass (the room where you can receive a set of weather rocks). The whiteboard talks about some weather strategies, including using moves to change the weather, and lists: Drought, Rain Dance, Sandstorm, and Hail. But obviously, Drought is an Ability. They meant to say Sunny Day. (They fixed it in USUM.)
