I bet search is only part of it.. (try reindexing the search index during a maint period) it is usually session hashes that bring a vB down.. (especially if busy) or a bad timing combo of both.

Hope you do work out what's causing it and resolve it.
 
Ahhh I was wondering why I couldn't search anything.xD
Well anyway's, I hope the problem gets resolved soon.

Thank goodness. Now I can continue my lurking and wonder how a certain someone manages to find every post I make with the name, "Misty" in it to respond to it.
