Japanese politics, you say, Misty? Compared to that North Korean missile launch earlier this evening, Japan's cute power projection is much more lighthearted. I would definitely laugh with delight if that country chose as its next cute ambassador(s) Pikachu, Piplup, or even both. I will welcome the continuation of Japan's alliance with America in order to give the light of freedom a chance to shine in East Asia.
