Your friend has sealed 1st Edition Base Set packs? Really? Uhm... ask him if there's anything he's looking for, or how much he'd sell them for. ;_;

I believe it. I got a bunch of sealed 1st Ed Jungle Packs at a flea market a few weeks ago.

There's a big difference between 1st Ed packs of Base Set and 1st Ed packs of any other set. A 1st Ed Jungle box will retail for around $70 on the secondary market, whereas a 1st Ed Base Set box will run you hundreds.

Fair enough, just making an observation since Jungle set cards are relatively old as well.
