But I think my overall favorite piece of music that's ever been featured in the anime is the BGM track Tears After The Cloudy Weather. It genuinely makes me choke up every time I hear it hahah.

Billy Crawford Remix > Ben Dixon & The Sad Truth or whoever did the M20 Remix, even if the M01 dub is the worst thing from the original English run in the main Series

(The only good Remix of the 1st dub OP is the 4th dub OP in the Anime dub IMO, S17's was an abomination & the current one is subpar but not as terrible, due to half-hearted singing, restrictions on length & haphazardly chopped together editing IMO)

Also YES to Battle Frontier and even MORE YES to Battle Cry (Stand Up) which I sang almost the entire lyrics of at 1am last night
 
As a music major, I'd be remiss if I didn't point out just how lucky we were to have Shinji Miyazaki at the helm for the first seven generations. He was just the man to bring justice time and again to Pokemon's celebrated existing music library, as well as all of the indispensable original compositions he contributed (Meeting and Parting, Tears After the Cloudy Weather, Satoshi's Theme, Paul's Theme, the Movie BGMs, and so on). His understanding of the music of Pokemon was as deep and rewarding as the arrangements he composed, and I feel like I'm not alone when I say that his regular contributions will continue to be celebrated and missed as a new era of the anime begins.

Godspeed to Miyazaki-san!

(DP's dub is the most overrated: dreadful VA work and script writing vs. AG's a saga prior IMO & OS too + the OPs sucked badly vs the 4Kids and Japanese OPs- at least XY onward is unanimously agreed to be the worst of the English dub to most of the fandom)

It was kept in the English dub a few times, most notably when Ash's Pikachu lost to Gary's Eevee at the end of the Orange Islands season in S02 though.

Not surprised there, I don't know where this rumor started DP kept most of the OST in the dub as it kept under 50% on average (the only Seasons that kept the majority of the OST are Seasons 1-3 and 14, no others did of the 25, and Seasons 17-25 had the most music replacement of all of the Series below 4Kids' very worst as well).
