I can understand why someone would think a Pokemon like Hawlucha beating a Legendary could make him or anyone seem a bit OP. He doesn't have as much experience as someone like Pikachu, Charizard, and Sceptile do. But a Mega? Mega's aren't Legendary Pokemon. Just regular Pokemon with a temporary evolution with enhanced stats. Not a god-like figure. I think its justifiable for Hawlucha to be able to defeat Mega Absol since he has been around with Ash for a while now and he has trained hard.

With X-Scissor and being a fighting type with fighting type moves, his victory over a Mega Absol really means nothing.

Unless it has Play Rough. But Ash is going battle Sawyer anyway so he was going to win against Mega Absol no matter what pokemon he used.

The episode airs soon! Let's hope its not a huge flop like the last episode and we're not watching battles full of OHKO's and we actually get to see more of Ash battling this time. I'm still hoping for some hints on the Team Flare interrupting the league theory also.
