Please don't bash me if this is in the wrong place. I haven't been around in a while and I am never sure which simple questions/answers thread I need to go to. Anyway, moving on.

I need an opinion. I unearthed my second Platinum and started playing it again. However, I need help. My current Water-type is a East Sea Gastrodon. However, I noticed how shallow its move pool is, and some of the better Ground-type moves it can learn (namely Earth Power), I can't get until much later. I was thinking of swapping it for another Water-type. My question is this: Which one is better: Gastrodon or Whiscash? Thanks in advance.

i use a gastrodon on my trick room team with earthquake / muddy water / ice beam / recover & it does well (gastrodon can learn earth power via move tutor btw) so i'd say stick with gastrodon - unless you can get a mudkip egg in a trade...

I don't really use Trick Room, since my strategies usually involve higher defenses and Speed (and most of my Pokemon in this Platinum have speed at 90 or up in their early 40's). However, I do appreciate the suggestion, so thank you. The problem is I already used up my Earthquake on Gabite (soon to be a Garchomp), so my only real option is Earth Power. However, I have a little idea.

I've decided to raise both and do a little compare and contrast. Even though my Gastrodon has been infected with the Pokerus long before, I have several other Pokemon in my box that still have it, so I can easily pass it on (I got the Pokerus early in the game). Once I get them to the same level, I'll post them and see what you all think. I don't really care that it'll take up a lot of time, since I prefer to take my time and explore more anyway (I love treasure hunting in RPGs and such, so I tend to explore every available nook and cranny anyway). Afterwards, we'll see what you guys think.

Okay, I have a question.
I've never used pal park before and my sister just gave me her old FireRed.
She has a few pokemon I want to transfer, others I don't really care.
I have six pokemon on my team and six pokemon in the FR team.
But I apparently don't have enough pokemon to stock? What does that mean?

They all have to be stored in the box for the transfer to work.

Do you have any other Pokémon in the boxes? Maybe you must have at least seven so you can't transfer all your six Pokémon and run out of Pokémons in the game = eminent bug disaster.

I have a bunch of pokemon, and I'm sure at least 6 in every single one of my boxes.
The FR cartridge also has a bunch of dittos in the PC, so I don't get the problem.

Edit: NVM, I had to go to the start up screen at SS, you guys should have told me that. >.<

This isn't really a Pokemon question, but more like a Bulbapedia question. I've asked around but to no answer.
So where do people get those animated Avatars like Koopa-Paratroopa or Synthesis has above?

Neither me, but as our colleague says, you need to deposit the Pokémon you want to transfer in a box.

Lexarion's shop. It's closed ATM though so you'll have to wait a bit. :-D

Whay available natures are there for flawless Pokemon? So far I know flawless Pokes can be Adamant and Timid.

... flawless Pokemon? There are no such thing, unless you're referring to Pokemon who have 31 IV points in each and every stat. Such a thing is possible with any nature; natures don't have anything to do with IVs.

The ideal nature for a "Flawless" Pokemon is dependant on what you are planning to do with the said Pokémon.

Hmm.
So I'm wondering, if I have Pokerus, a Power Bracer item, and want to max out the Attack stat, what number of pokemon that yield the following EVs when defeated would need to be defeated? If I worded it bad, how many shinx would I need to kill with Pokerus/Power bracer to max out attack, how many Gyarados, and say how many Salamence.

1 EV -
2 EVs -
3 EVs -

Not really fond of math.

Is this the right forum now?

You mean hexflawless? Like 31/31/31/31/31/31? I know that it's possible only for Modest, Timid, and Calm for unbreedables. It's not possible with Adamant, but I assume you meant 31 / 31 / 31 / x / 31 / 31, in which case I think there is something legal like that for every nature. I would mess around on Shoddy and see what comes up as legal.

I'd tell you the AR code or find the source for you via VM/PM, but do you really want to give up on trying to get your shiny fairly? That code would make it seem like all your tries were pretty worthless and done for nothing. And if you did SR that many times, shiny should show up pretty soon.

If you want to find codes or whatever, use Google.
