With every Pokemon game comes an evil villain team (or teams) to complement it. In this thread, you can speculate about the villain team(s) in Pokemon X and Y.

Will we see a returning villain team (or teams)?

Is this the region where N went off to after Black and White?

What would a new villain team (or teams) be like?

I'm thinking it will be like Ruby and Sapphire, with two villain teams. One will be all-female and one will be all-male (to go along with the chromosome theory), with the other team helping you fight their rival. If there is a third version (Pokemon Z, probably), you would probably fight them both.

Gender wars or genetic engineering teams (or both) are the likeliest, I think.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

I'm actually thinking this could break the trend and come up with something else, but maybe we'll get a team based around forced mutation.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

Team Chromos complete with a fancy Insignia. I wonder if the legendaries are proper mythological creatures, or creations of their twisted games?

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

I'd like to see a female main villain for once. In Gen IV we had the first female champion, Gen V had the first female professor...

Well, with the sex chromosome thing they seem to be going with, that might well happen.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

I think it would be good to have just one villain team, with a leader just as evil as Ghetsis, if not even more evil. I don't know what their goal might be, but I don't really like the mutation theory, and stuff like the legendaries being manipulated by the villains has been done. Maybe not directly with Mewtwo, but certainly with Genesect.

Team Grammar or Team Alpha, calling it now.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

My guess is the new villains will be Team ABC, and N will also return. C what I did there, lol?

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

I really expect some sort of military themed villain team, don't ask me why, I just want one a lot.

I highly doubt the X and Y in the title are related to sex chromosomes. It could be a reference to the X,Y and Z axis of 3D graphs.

But with that double helix, who knows?

There is a double helix in the titles though, so maybe it has to do with something about chromosomes too.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

My guess is that the evil team will have something to do with genetics, but I would like to point something out:

If it's a battle of the sexes plot, that could have some controversies seeing as The Bicker the Better was banned in some countries (including France) because of a battle of the sexes plot to the episode.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

A lot of people say that X/Y is probably about chromosomes and DNA and genetics and whatnot, but.... what about the X/Y axis on a grid?

X= horizontal; deer running on land
Y= vertical; bird flying through the air

For the third version they could do Z, which is diagonal. Not sure what that might turn out to be, but still. We could all be getting it extremely wrong.

Umm... Z is a slider. It moves through alternate dimensions. Or something.

Gen. 6 version of Giratina~
For a team, that could really change things. X could be focused more on land stuff, Y on the skies. If it were to be Z, yeah, maybe dimension stuff.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

TEAM A : Misson rid the world of Ys
TEAM B : Misson rid the world of Xs

Each team wheres outfits made out of there repective letters and belives that their choosen letter is the greatest on earth

Can these heros (the player) stop the rival teams A and B and bring peace and equalllity to all the letters in the alphabet ?? you will have to play to find out.

Re: Pokemon X and Y: Villain Team(s) Speculation

I just had a thought: If the Legendary Pokémon are based off of Nordic legends, maybe the villainous team will be based off of the Norsemen/Vikings?
