I actually hope the IV's are indeed reworked, it would indeed mean simplification and it would explain how the Gen I games are compatible with S/M.

Breeding for perfect IV's is such a pain, I wouldn't mind if they were reworked or deleted entirely.

But I think after learning a thing or two I will try to avoid Pokemon SM spoilers just so I can be surprised when I play. :LOL:

Or, you know, they're acknowledging their Chinese fanbase and a large untapped market. There was a petition awhile back to get Nintendo to localize Pokemon in Chinese. I'm not saying a fan petition worked, but I am saying that something highlighted in that petition was very good incentive for Nintendo, and thus they might have already been working on it regardless:

"With this year's Pokémon World Championship, fans from the Greater China region are rallying for localization of Pokémon games into the Chinese language. As the ban on video games have been lifted in the mainland, it is considered to be an opportune time to begin official localization of the games."

A bit prejudicial to be entertaining the notion that China paid its way into Pokemon just so you can keep on with your Kalos delusion, don't you think? Perhaps it has that "Kalos aesthetic" because its built on the same game engine...

That's not even mentioning that Singapore is an independent nation from China. Its like accusing the UK of bribing Nintendo to have a region based on New York

So XYORAS won't be able to directly communicate with SM. If that doesn't confirm Gen VII, then I don't know what does.

This also kinda says that the gen I games are only compatible with SM and not XYORAS. More confirmation that they did something with the EV's/IV's?
 
So this is definitely Gen VII. Can't see how it wouldn't be, at this stage.

Only question now is what happens to RedHerringarde. Save us, Corocoro?

I'll be so glad if they simplify/remove EVs/IVs. Especially IVs. No more tedious breeding, no more "perfect" Pokemon, no need for hacks and the Pokemon that accompany us throughout the main story will be equally capable of fighting competitively. YES PLEASE.
 
Now I'm wondering when we'll hear more (aka i just wanna see the starters and box legends rofl)

Im thinking e3? Usually they spend monthhsss hyping and promoting something as big as a new gen.

They highlighted that Gen III and Gen IV was the first time that they were able to communicate with games that were released on different platforms. I doubt they'd have changed the IV/EV structure in Gen VII since that would be a hassle. It would be easier to do what I had suggested when I theorized this and randomly assign IV values based on the Gen I Pokemon's IVs (e.g., an IV of 0 can be 0 or 1 in Gen VII), remove any EVs, and just reassign other values randomly.

So this also confirms, that Gen 7 is the 5th gen of the 3DS. So probably 3 years max and either no remake or no third version. I can't see the generation lasting longer, since NX is already coming out this or next year.

This! Please make it so that everyone can fight competitively, not just those that have time for hours of breeding.

If one watched the Direct, they already would know it'd be the next gen, since it goes through a thing of showing each game from the start of each gen before stating Sun and Moon.
