Things We Want in Sun/Moon, but Definitly Won't Get!

I wanna decorate my bedroom again. That was one of my favorite parts of Gold/Silver. :p I just like being able to customize a lot of stuff. That's why I like secret bases so much. We need another thing like that.. though maybe on a smaller scale with a few locations so that the areas we can decorate can be more interesting.

Since I have just recently tried them for the first time and found them to be actually pretty damn fun, I would love to have Funfest Missions back.

Part of me misses giving money to mom as a sort of bank. It's been so many years since the original Gold and Silver and I still see "Sent some to mom!" every time I win money after a trainer battle.

(So long as I can tell her not to spend my darn money whenever she likes, that is...)

For me, it's not so much that I want to see these things in SM (although I certainly wouldn't be opposed), but this is absolutely fuel for the fire that is my need for GSC on the Virtual Console. :p

I think several Pokemon's evolution levels should be lowered to more reasonable levels. Several that immediately come to mind are some generation 5 Pokemon like Mienfoo, Larvesta and Pawniard (some of the worst offenders). They're all too frail to battle reasonably until the level of their evolution. As we're moving to a new Generation completely, and they've tampered with evolution methods before, I don't think its too much to ask.

I want...

A: Nidorina and Nidoqueen's weird inability to breed to be fixed. I don't know whether that's a mistake, and oversight, or just an unexplained oddity, but it needs to be addressed.

B: Tauros and Miltank to be legit gender counterparts. Why aren't they? I know if they were intended to be, the retcon would've happened much sooner, but I wish they would do that.

Ohh reading about GSC just brings back memories. ;__; Definitely in agreement that we need the mom bank and bedroom decorations back! Especially the mom bank. >o>; The Nidoqueen/Nidorina thing too does need to be fixed, yeah.

One thing I'd personally really like to see back is the Join Avenue, or something really similar to it.. the Join Avenue was probably the most fun I've had in a game to date. ;_; The Pokéathlon was loooads of fun too. Those two just need to make an appearance in an upcoming game in some way. q.q

Had this idea while trying to sleep last night: Two types of 'held' items. One is the same as it is in game now, holding berries and things like that. The other is for items you wear like the silk scarf, black belt, or mega evolution stones.

Probably terrible to people who battle competitively, but it helps my OCD of "why can't my pokemon hold this while its wearing sunglasses?"

I'm still mad the Striaton Trio wasn't the Shadow Triad. I'd love to see them actually do something like that, where a seemingly minor character or Gym Leader seems like they're unimportant or a friend, but is revealed to be evil later on.

My only gripe would be that Pokemon is shit at making subtle villains - you could tell right off the bat that Ghetsis, Lysandre and Colress were evil from design alone. The Striaton Trio being the Shadow Triad was great because it fleshed out both groups of characters and was subtle.

I want the game corner back. I know about the gambling issues though. So why not turn it into a sort of arcade. Where even if you lose you get a few tickets from playing the different types of games. That way it's not gambling, it's just a side quest for fun minigames! Touch screen wack-a-diglette, anyone?

The moment I saw the Game Corner closed in ORAS, I was like... Game Freak are really done with Game Corners, if they didn't even bother to reopen one for a remake that originally had it, in RSE.

I really wanted it back in ORAS and I wondered "why didn't they at least replace it for Voltorb Flip, like in HGSS, to avoid gambling issues? Why didn't they at least give us Voltorb Flip in ORAS?"

But I then realized that GF only had Voltorb Flip in western HGSS, because the Japanese HGSS had the real Game Corner, and they didn't want westerners complaining how GF care about their Japanese fans more, etc

While in ORAS, not only the Western games, but also the Japanese version of ORAS has the Game Corner closed. So this does kinda mean that they have moved away from Game Corners, ever since Gen V didn't have a Game Corner.

Besides, I wonder if possibly antigambling laws have nowadays reached even Japan as well, seeing how Japanese ORAS didn't have the Game Corners either?

And yes, I really don't know why Game Freak didn't just change the nature of the Game Corners, instead of erasing them completely from the main series. They could have done it in Gen V and all following versions. IT REALLY ISN'T THAT HARD, GAME FREAK!

I find it a bit shocking how they stopped doing Game Corners, precisely when going to USA and France xD

The Game Corner censoring started happening in Sinnoh - in the European release specifically. GF realized that if they're going to market a game internationally then they have to be careful about rating laws in their target zones, so it's easier on development to just not invest time/effort in something that's only going to be playable in one region. Still, some kind of minigame zone would be a welcome addition - HGSS had the Pokeathlon and it was a blast.

An arcade would really work for a minigame zone - arcades are an endangered species these days.

Playing a white Nuzlocke right now and I honestly like the Phenomanon mechanic (which eventually became the DexNav). I do hope the idea continues in Sun and Moon because it's a great feature of the series. It makes hunting pokemon more fun, more interesting, and potentially more rewarding.

There is virtually no reason for the game corner to return guys. It's only purpose was to give you access to tms, but since tms have been infinite use since gen 5, there is no real reason to have the game corner back IMO. So in reality, the game corner was simply nothing more than a glorified store.

Besides, they can always make mini-games in an other fashion(ex: contests, pokestar studios ect....).
