GF will surprise everyone with another set of games in hoenn, and they will be called pokemon z and Pokemon stars.

The only difference from oras will be festival plaza instead of PSS,and there will be 6 new pokemon(3 in each game) and marshadow will only be available in those 2 games.

And no PokeBalls comparability....

The blue pentagon was changed in Gen 7, and it was only to indicate what Pokemon were caught in a game, so they could be used in tournaments.

Yeah, the whole "blue pentagon" thing was mostly a marker added in Generation VI that was used as a restriction in tournaments, most notably used in VGC 2015 and 2016 which, unlike past years, did not allow any Pokémon caught in a previous Generation and transferred to VI (and therefore not having the blue pentagon) in official tournament play. The new icon is called the black clover, for Pokémon caught in Generation VII - and presumably this will apply to any new games that come out this Generation no matter what region it's place in (as the blue pentagon was based on the emblem of Kalos and the one for Alola is seen being worn as an accessory on many Trial Captains' outfits).

In other news, Pokémon Meteor, anyone?

Pokemon Stars is confirmed real
You claim it has been confirmed, yet I haven't found anything 100% saying it would be Pokemon Stars coming out. It could just be a Pokemon side game.
Also, how is it going to run on the Switch? The resolution is going to be wonky, plus the fact that (i think) the Switch cannot be dual screened.

Eh, Pokemon has been on a single screen before, so the lack of a second screen isn't a problem.

why do you think that for the first time since Pokemon has been on two screens, the bottom screen is simply a map and shortcut to the (already really accessible) Pokedex?
There are more stuff you can do with the bottom screen, like Save, Refresh, Pélago, decide which move your Pokémon should use during battle, etc...

But that's all from a menu that's pulled up-it's not like the menu can't be done on another screen.

And at the top is respectively, paused gameplay, nothing, information that could be compressed to a smaller window, information...) In Pelago's case its actually is rather easy since all that is there are the natures and genders of visiting pokemon and timers.

Can the stylus work on the upper screen?

not but the D-pad and face buttons can.
