arctozolt: This Pokemon lived on prehistoric seashores and was able to preserve food with the ice on its body. It went extinct because it moved so slowly.
This makes me feel ALOT better about this pokemon. I did kind of like it because it kinda looked like snow was just stuck to it's body but I wasn't sure if that was the actual case since the fossil thing was about mix matching animal parts. I thought maybe it was just a fish bottom half.

Higher fidelity models, new animations... I don't know how you can say that balance is a lie, honestly, unless you somehow know exactly how Dynamax works and ran all the numbers with every cut pokemon. Which even if you somehow had, many were cut for time and because they had no place in the region. For balance, I can say that it definitely seems like the Chansey line was cut, and with what little we do know about Dynamax, it's safe to say that including them in the game would have definitely been a balance issue, so there's some evidence in favor of that reasoning right there.

I don't know, I don't see the lies.

Pffffffth- pokemon names usually are puns. Especially in Japanese. It's nothing new. XD

This is the defense I was talking about. There is nothing to defend and yet people still are doing so.

It's been beaten to death that they are using the same models and animations that they have for years, but you still are bending over backwards to justify its veracity.

You're right, I don't know how everything works yet- but cutting 60% of the Pokemon doesn't balance the game. The metagame will always settle, there will always be ones that are used more than others etc. All they've done is decimated choice. But in the end, their excuses are already transparently that. Excuses conjured up from thin air.

Enjoy the game, as I said. I don't begrudge your enjoyment but have some dignity instead of just shilling for Game Freak's lies.

Eh, the dex descriptions are a joke because the scientists didn't even get the matching right. So their conclusions are false.

It's a brilliant idea but the execution was awful.

The funny thing is that you're talking to someone that isn't going to buy the games, as @Oriden said multiple times, with one of the reason being the Dexit, as Magmar isn't in. So maybe it'd be best to not assume what people are doing and if they even want to buy the games, only because they don't agree with you.

Could someone share the pics of the Gym Leader cards?
And what all do we know about the story right now?
I posted them all in the story dataming thread, but I don't know if there's all the stuff about the story.

Is Dreepy lines confirmed to be this gen's pseudo? If it is, is there other pseudo in this gen? Kinda hoping for 2 pseudos like in gen 3.

It seems to be the only one, as it's the only one, I think, close in dex number with three stages to the other old pseudos.

I see. Thanks. I like the stealth bomber dragon, but was hoping for a non-dragon pseudo this gen.

Does anyone get the Dreepy-line's concept? I don't dislike em, but they're kinda like Lati@s; airplane dragon...

As @TheElderKing said- I'm not buying the game exactly because of Dexit. But I don't think that someone who doesn't know what went into these games or the kind of choices that had to be made should be confidently saying that they "lied to us."

You're acting like balance is the reason for everything that was cut- I'm sure that it wasn't. It is simply one of the reasons. But once you cut a few pokemon for that sake (example being the Chansey that I mentioned earlier), then your parameter for how many models to complete has already changed. Once you do that, your goal isn't to make every pokemon anymore. Once you cut a few, the next reasonable goal to set would be only what can be found within that region. That cuts a whole lot more for non-balance reasons, and allows for more time to work on improving the rest of the models.

Which no, it hasn't been "beaten to death" that the models are unchanged because there has already been proof within the trailers that there have been a number of new or changed animations. Just because they didn't completely overhaul everything doesn't mean that they didn't make changes or rework everything from the ground up.

The final evo seems to be based on a stealth bomber plane (Northrop B-2 Spirit) with Dreepy as the bombs.
Also if I'm not mistaken this is the first time a Pokemon based on a warfare vehicle made it into the final game. Octillery and Hydreigon's first designs were based on tanks before they were scrapped.

Also, about the competitive side of things, while not everyone think like this, there are competitive players excited about the cut because it reduces the number of variables in the game. Yes, there'll always be an elite tier of Pokèmon to be used, but people still try new or weird stuff, even at tournaments, so for (Some) of them, having less Pokèmon to account for is a good think.
