What are your GTH reads on SM, FA, and NP? (GTH means you have to call them either town or mafia. It doesn't have to be based on anything, it can just be a gut feeling.)
 
I have no meta on anyone here except for leetic and HumanDawn so I'll be playing without that in mind unless someone can point to specific tells. Makes the game a bit harder but I like a challenge : p

Also I do have to say that DawningWinds opening was pretty hedgey in almost all aspects. I would've liked them to have put some pressure on just about anyone and the fact that they haven't really said anything in that post besides leetic town is a small strike against them considering they mentioned 4 other players and specifically talked about 2 of them.
 
Also upon reread FinalArcadia's initial post isn't as bad as I had initially thought. I was finding it kind of scummy because I felt it was a bit forced buuuuuuuut I did/do see their perspective on leetic and the SoulMaster stuff is ~fair enough.

My main problem with DW's post is its refusal to evaluate NP and SM, I feel like they should've at least commented on them. Also, they didn't comment on HD, granted HD's opening posts technically came from before the start of the day but this is something to consider if either flips scum. They also didn't respond to my post, but since I can't see their online status, I can't be sure of whether they were able to see my post. Otherwise, I do like that they were at least trying to engage with the thread, based on my experience here inactive scum are far more likely to attempt to discredit any form of activity beyond RVS on D1. DW is one of two players here that I'm unfamiliar with, but still I GTH townread them now.

DW, keep in mind that that will change if you continue to ignore NP and SM.

Vote: TheCapsFan because some activity occurred while you were here. You've played in some decently active games before, so I don't see what your deal is.

Like I said FA feels town
Neopest leaning townish now. I like the vote on me, feels townmotivated.
SM I feel like maybe not would've been worth mentioning in my initial post after all and I genuinely can not scrape together any vibes from his two extremely short posts.
HD in my experience is like the king of meaningless pregame nonsense so I honestly have zero inclination to try to come up with a read for him based on that.

Yeah it was sort of in response to you, but no I literally said I don't know how it lines up with her scum meta- you said it's within her town meta which I would agree with, but I've literally never played with scum FA so I can't speak for whether it's also in her scum meta. Probably shoulda made that a little more clear.

Well, I have to dig back five years to find a game I remember FA being scum in, so it doesn't really count for much, but for what it's worth her posts in that game are nothing like her post here. I feel it would be more indicative of her alignment if she can keep the same energy going for more than one post, but I feel she's a player who is usually fairly easy to townread.

Look, you can put as many guns to my head as you want, but the fact remains that neither my gut nor my brain are getting anything out of Soulmaster's posts because there's just nothing there. Ask me again when he's even attempted to post something of value.
As for HD, with all his post being pregame, I really don't like trying to read him based on it, as far as I'm concerned he's currently a nonposter, but if I absolutely have to... vaguely sorta kinda townish vibes that are absolutely and completely subject to change when he shows up for the Day.

I don't have time to read that game right now since its 01:25 where I am and I really should be in bed, so I'll just take your word for her having seemed pretty different from this.

Which alignment would be more likely to make posts where there's "nothing there"? These are the questions you need to ask if you want to make reads early in the game

That's really player dependent, and since I have never played with Soulmaster, the answer is a resounding I do not fucking know. If I did know which alignment to expect more nothing posts from Soulmaster, I would've said that when you asked for my GTH read on him. I don't get why your so hung up on me having a read on a play who's said essentially nothing five hours into Day One.

Then extrapolate based on past experiences with other players. I play with unfamiliar people all the time, it's a skill you have to learn.
 
DW's defiance with regards to reading SM does suggest that they are unaligned, as I don't think DW would make a big stink about not committing to their partner. Scum would be more likely to put a quiet "maybe town/scum but I don't know" if pressed than to draw attention to the whole thing. But by the same vein, it does make DW and HD a potential combination.
 
I also think DW and NP are pretty clearly unaligned, DW's shift on NP wouldn't make sense if they were partners, as an immediate townread would make more sense rather than DW immediately townreading neopest despite not really doing much different from before. Their read on FA is just hedgy enough that they could be aligned though.
