Simple Questions / Simple Answers (Scarlet & Violet Edition)

Not totally sure if this is the right location for it but I have a question regarding the DLC. I've since downloaded it into my Switch and Switch Lite, but when I try to access it for a different file (ie: another user), it says it cannot be accessed. Now, it's been a while since I've done DLC for a Pokemon game but the last time this happened I ended up having to buy the DLC (Sword/Shield) twice to gain access to it for files outside of my main one. Is there a way to gain access to what the DLC gives for all my files and not just the one that purchased it? Thanks in advance.

Forgive the double post (though it's been a while since last time) but I have a question regarding a new item.

How does the Mirror Herb work for breeding, exactly? I get that it helps with Egg Moves but how does it work? Can I, for example, teach a Honchkrow Drill Peck and Roost with it without needing to breed and hatch a Murkrow? Or does it just help passing down Egg Moves? Considering this game now has the ability to give male-only species Egg Moves I want to know how it works and if the Mirror Herb is the reason for it or not. Thanks in advance.

I haven't had the chance to use it myself yet, so someone else can feel free to correct me if I'm wrong, but basically yes! This is how Bulbapedia says it works:
[...] if the player has a picnic with one Pokémon that holds a Mirror Herb and has an empty move slot, and another Pokémon that knows a move the first Pokémon can learn as an Egg Move, after the picnic the first Pokémon will learn that Egg Move, even if there is no matching Egg Group. This does not consume the Mirror Herb.
So to get what you mentioned in your example, you could hold a picnic with a Delibird knowing Drill Peck and a Honchkrow holding a Mirror Herb, and after the picnic Honchkrow will then know Drill Peck. (Unfortunately the Murkrow line doesn't get Roost at all in SV :()

Or to give another example, the Impidimp line is a male-only species, but if it has at least one empty move slot and holds a Mirror Herb, it can copy the egg move Parting Shot from any teammate you have that knows it. The Egg Groups of the two Pokémon don't matter, and I don't think it has any effect on breeding at all. But essentially this cuts out the hassle of chain-breeding to pass down Egg Moves, and can even be used to teach an evolved Pokémon an Egg Move that they missed out on.

Thank you! That's a big help. :giggle: And bummer that Honchkrow lost Roost (again).

Does Super Fang work in Tera Raid battles? I know in Max Raids it was an unusable move but can it work in Tera Raids because of the different mechanics? Thanks in advance.
It won't split the HP in half, nah. Just becomes a standard move.

How do you do the Masuda method for hatching shinies? I really want a shiny Fennekin.
I guess you breed two Braixen/Delphox with one of them being Shiny, then see if you get a Shiny Egg
Btw how do u just post? I don't see anything that will let me start a conversation
Just type in the box and then tap/click on “post reply”

Thx! I found out how to post, too! I'm pretty sure the Masuda method has to do w/ a foreign Ditto, tho. I have a doughnuts challenge ahead of me, a shiny of every Pokemon shiny-huggable in Polemon Scarlet. Btw, please help with m thread that's called Can Someone Please Help Me With My New Pokemon Game ( I need a LOT of help). Thanks for the help!

This may be not necessarily simple for some, but here’s something I wonder (also, I don’t know if this is the right place or not for such a big question):
After having read on two gym trainers on the Serebii.net Levincia webpage, I decided to see if there was something that determined which trainer I’d fight. Eventually, I learned that both of these trainers (known as Alonso and Diego) have their data unused in the game. I’ve decided to keep track of NPC trainers’ names in the Spanish-language version of Violet, but since I can never encounter either one of these trainers and don’t know how datamining works, I would like to know what these trainers are named in the Spanish version (and I know for a fact that the one named Diego is very likely not going to be known as such in Spanish because the Black Belt of South Province (Area One) (known as Alejandro in the English version) is named Diego in the Spanish-language version). The WikiDex (which is essentially the Spanish-language version of Bulbapedia) page for Levincia (known as Ciudad Leudal in the Spanish version) doesn’t mention the unused data, so here’s my question: What are the names of each unused trainer in the Spanish version?
(Also, I recently joined the forums, by the way)

I learned these games are supposed to have a targeting feature, and I'm like why have I never known about it or been able to use it? And turns out, it just doesn't work. I tried to target what I thought might've been a shiny Wattrel. It was flying too high for me to encounter the normal way. But no matter how many times I pressed that ZL button, my trainer wouldn't target it and would just randomly throw the Pokeball like normal. And now I might've failed a shiny because of a feature that appears to be broken. I don't understand this, does anyone else have this issue? Yes, I made sure I was pressing the right button.
Try holding the target button when you throw the ball. That works for me... sometimes.

Noob to the forum. I have Scarlet and am in search of Miraidon for a Dex entry. I don't really want to trade my Koraidon away. Anyone know where to seek out someone interested or know any trade exchanges?

You can post a new thread over in the Bulbagarden Global Trade Station with the details of your trade request! Anyone who's interested will see it and reply there.
And welcome to the forums by the way! :bulbaWave:

Can somebody please tell me what I'm overlooking: I cannot start The Way Home adventure even though I have completed Victory Road (defeated Nemona), Starfall (defeated Cassiopeia) and Path of Legends (defeated Arlen). When I eventually went to the gate to the Crater it was locked and there was nobody there. I have not found anything about other requirements to proceed. Thanks.
