A Mega Heracross ex Drop Event has now commenced in Pokémon TCG Pocket, running through to May 21st at 10:59pm (PDT)/ May 22nd at 5:59am (UTC), offering players the opportunity to challenge a series of special solo battles to attempt to obtain promo card packs and other rewards.

The Day 2 livestream for this weekend's Pokémon Champions League 2026 tournament in Japan's Aichi prefecture has given fans their first look at a selection of new Pokémon Trading Card Game cards which will be released in the upcoming Abyss Eye expansion that hits store shelves in Japan later this month on May 22nd.

Rika and Poppy are debuting new Variety Sync Pairs with Great Tusk and Iron Treads respectively today in Pokémon Masters EX, alongside the launch of a new Solo Event featuring both characters, Urgent Ask for Rika and Poppy. Also returning today is Rika's debut Story Event Good Ol' Rika Here, as part of the ongoing Paldea Fest Rally.

A video posted on the Pokémon Trading Card Game's official Japanese YouTube channel on April 22nd has unveiled new cards for the Rampardos and Bastiodon evolution lines, together with a new Relicanth, and a Fossil Pokémon-themed Stadium. These cards will all be released together in the upcoming Abyss Eye expansion that hits store shelves in Japan on May 22nd.

The next Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Mega Evolution Series has been officially announced in a press release by The Pokémon Company International. Mega Evolution—Pitch Black will release internationally from July 17th. The set will primarily contain cards from the Japanese Abyss Eye expansion, which releases there late next month on May 22nd.

Fans have today received their first official look at cards from the Abyss Eye expansion for the Pokémon Trading Card Game, which will be released in Japan on May 22nd. This set is based on the Mega Dimension DLC for Pokémon Legends: Z-A, and features Mega Darkrai as the central Pokémon. Pokémon Masters EX is throwing down the gauntlet to trainers once more, with the Legendary Gauntlet returning until April 19th at 10:59pm (PDT). Players finding themselves without the proper sync pairs to take on the Gauntlet will be able to take advantage of a new Scout launching alongside this event, featuring a variety of Sync Pairs suited to these particular challenges.

Following on from the recent launch of Chapter 9 of the Arceus Arc, Arc Suit Sabrina & Alakazam make their debut today in Pokémon Masters EX in a set of Arc Suit Scouts. Also launching today is the game's latest Pasio Gym Battle, accompanied by the special Tiered Scout featuring three Fair-Exclusive Sync Pairs.

As announced earlier this week, Pasio Gym Battle No. 2: "Galar Gym Leaders Assembled" commences in Pokémon Masters EX late today, April 2nd, at 11:00pm (PDT). Battles in this event will run through to April 9th, at 10:59pm (PDT).

As announced in the recent trailer and message from the game's producers, a range of events, scouts, and bonuses are launching today in Pokémon Masters EX alongside Chapter 9 of the Arceus Arc, including the Korrina Arc Suit Fair Scout, a new Special Battle Event, and the first set of monthly 30-Year Celebration events and missions.

A new version of Pokémon Masters EX, Ver. 2.67.0, is now available to download. With this update, the game's general producer, Tetsuya Iguchi, has also revealed information on the beginning of Chapter 9 of the Arceus Arc this week, featuring two new Arc Suit Sync Pairs, and more information on events and updates coming to the game in April.
