me too! but i think it would be better if he fought the three of them (not simultaneosly!) but it would be cool if it was:

Dento Vs N - N wins
Iris Vs N - N wins
Satoshi Vs N - Satoshi wins

or:
Dento vs N - N wins
Satoshi and Iris Vs N - Satoshi and Iris wins

or you could even scratch out the first () in my comment and there could be a triple battle between them!

and speaking of which... when do you think that they will introduce triple/rotational battles in the anime?

Went from Poké vs Pallet --> Poké vs Advance --> Advance vs Contest --> 2000+ ships and no more wars. The Team Rocket fans were left to themselves, though they split into Pro-shipping vs Anti-shipping somewhere down the line. And now everyone gets along for the most part, thankfully Apparently those were pretty big "srs biznez" wars, the way Archaic had the Pokéshippers set up was pretty militaristic. I could never see myself getting into one of those other than for lulz, since I live by the philosophy of Kakuna Matata "ship whoever the hell you feel like. If we agree cool beans, if not, oh well."

I have seen a few animes with shounen-ai and/or yaoi as the main focus (my favorite so far is Kyo Kara Maou!~) It's not because they're afraid of homosexuality, it's just not as accepted as in the US (and we only have 5 states that allow gay marriage.) Well, maybe a little bit of it is fear, just because it goes against the norm and being a collectivist nation, the group is valued over the individual.

Least they weren't flame wars. I read the History of Shipping article yesterday, used to be really bad, not to mention friggin' ridiculous/insane.

It probably won't since homosexuality isn't as accepted in Japan as in the US (you'd think it would be with all the yaoi and yuri manga/anime out there, but nope.) Plus since it's geared for an international release the creators won't want to offend anyone in the worldwide market, lest they lose out on profit. Besides, the relationships are handled better in fanart/fanfics anyways (or rather can be, some handle it pretty crappy too.)

Even if it's a boy the ship could still happen (not like it's stopped Pikashipping at all.) You made a wise decision there. Little debates and friendly/joking arguments are fine, but I didn't join this site to get into a heated argument over fictional creatures on a freakin' cartoon.

Thanks for finding that for me =) I always thought of Meowth and Pikachu as guys (though there is an awesome fanfic where Pika is a girl and has babies. It's really well written and has past Diamondshipping, which is always good. Well, for me anyways xD Unfortunately it appears to be dead now D Jessie's Yanmega is a girl right?

Guess not. I don't support bestiality. Chikorita/Bayleef was cute with Ash in the friendship sense or the bond between a trainer and their Pokémon partner, but not in a romantic way.

The previews showed Miju being affected by the female Smugleaf's attract, so I think it's a guy. (Unless it's a lesbian/bi.) Do you remember what episode specifically Pikachu and Piplup were confirmed to be male?

I'll have to respectfully disagree. Ritchie won because Ash thought too highly of himself and thought he could handle Charizard when previous experiences should have told him that that wasn't the case. I love the kid, but in Kanto he was a lot more full of himself than he is now.

The crushes are cute, but I never ship humans and Pokémon together. Romantically anyway, friendship-wise I love it. Also the wotter is freakin' adorable <3 Just hope it isn't overabused like Piplup was.

Then Misty came back at the beginning of the Kanto Battle Frontier arc/saga and "reawakened" my Pokéshipping love, so then I started Contestshipping as well. This was also the time when I finally realized shounen-ai = "awesome", not "yuck", so I just started pairing up the future Pokémon Master with pretty much everyone (Brock, Max, Gary, Anabel, etc.) And that's basically the gist of my boring shipping adventure. Sorry if I bored you to tears xD

Pokéshipping and Palletshipping = <3 (for me anyways. Thank you for being respectful =) ) Hmmm that is a good question. When I first watched the show I just kinda thought Ash and Misty were the default couple, so that's probably why I still ship them to this day. Gary annoyed the crap outta me too, I didn't like him because he was mean to Ash xD Now I love him for it because that's just how Gary Mofo Oak is. I think I really got into shipping in AG because May replaced Misty. She was the new girl, shared a VA with Ash, and I thought they looked cute together (this was also when I entered a brief period of Egoshipping), so I shipped them. Drew was cool, but I just liked Ash and May together more.

But we both know that he's never going to win a league in a non-filler region until the show ends, so the writers will always make him lose. Which is good because then he sticks around to be the main character again for the next region On the downside, while he (aka his Mons with his coaching) did put up a good fight, I still think it was a cheap way for him to loose. Maybe if Takuto had had more backstory or build-up it wouldn't have been so bad, but this guy just showed up out of the blue with 2 (3 if you think the Heatran belonged to him too. I know I do) legendaries. Wtf? Oh well, no point in getting worked up about now right?

I'd wanna throw something at the writers. "Really, you couldn't think of anything else to give him?"

No kidding. Both of them having Pikachu is a given, but other than that I'd hope he would have different Mons than Ashy-boy. If he did he would just be a dick (cuz Ritchie --> Richard --> Dick xD)
