I feel your pain. I was talking like a broken record in the bad egg thread earlier.
    C) Greninja I hated initially and prayed that it was fake but...well, it's grown on me. The tongue as a scarf is very clever, if sort of disgusting to think about and the fact that it replaced the bubble concept is a weird quirk that I wasn't happy with at first, though the pink color of it really helps to break up all the blue and white in it's design, so it was a good choice over more white bubbles, really. I initially didn't like it's geometric-ness in it's face but I've gotten used to it, and it does give it a speedy, sharpness that alludes to it's dark typing without making it look mean or or adding black to the design, though it could look more obviously dark type and I wouldn't mind. I like that it is Water/Dark, it's a cool type combo and it joins the likes of Sharpedo and Carvana. It really just wasn't what I expected, which I think is what annoyed me about it at first. It's stats are pretty good, it's the fastest of the starters with good attack and usable special attack. It's name is also pretty good, way better than most fan names. I think Greninja is my second favorite. If I get X (I have Y pre-ordered) I'll pick it.
    B) Delphox is definitely my favorite. On seeing it I was positive about it, and glad it was so distinctive and not just a "bigger Braixen", but when I started doing fan art for it I really came to love it. It's robe-like fur is really cool, and it just looks regal up also like it just wants to rip you up. It has a great, sort of malevolent expression. I like the colors a great deal, it has a hint of that 'purpleish' that psychic pokemon have but it's mixed in with the red in the bottom fur area. I do kind of wish the bottom was shaped slightly differently but meh, I can deal. It's signature move has an awesome name, Mystical Fire, though I'm not sure of the effects yet. I also love the typing, Fire pokemon and Psychic pokemon are two of my favorite types, and putting them together is a match made in heaven. The name is also genius, I loved the name absolutely immediately. It's stats are also perfect (for a starter) decent speed, great special attack and workable Def and SpDef, coming out of the attack stats, which it doesn't need anyway. As I said, my favorite by far.
Hm, okay. I initially didn't like any of them, but time to let it simmer has endeared them to me.

    A) Chesnaught, well it's okay as starter evos go. I like the color choices and concept. Initially I was thinking it's limbs were strangely long, but the proportions are growing on me, and it makes sense for a fighting pokemon to have longer limbs. It's little 'beard' is charming and it's armor is quite cool. I find it's 'bald' head distracting and odd, but eh, I guess you could call it a charm point in a way. It kind of reminds me of an old uncle or a hiker, which actually kind of fits Chespin's personality. I also like it's type, like another favorite pokemon of mine, Breloom, and it's new move, Spiky Shield. It's stats are alright for a starter, higher defense and attack, but low speed and SpDef, which won't save it from ice and fire attacks, the most common of which are special. Really the only way to help out grass pokemon other than adding steel or ground in the mix, is to give them massive speed and attack/Spattack so they can KO something before they get wiped out, but that's not happening here, poor thing. It's name is excellent and it's the starter that is most along the lines of "what I expected". To a certain extent I think it looses a lot of it's "grass-ness" on evolution, but all in all it's alright, but still probably me least favorite.
