I have A++ certification in Linux programming and couldn't qualify for any thing more than working at a minimum wage tech support job that was 80 miles away. Also have years of schooling in the arts field. I failed miserably when going into the sign making field because everything is turning to vinyl lettering, neon, or fully computerized and my savvy is in old fashion sign painting. Also failed at keeping my contractor's license a float when I went into interior painting/design because there was too much competition... :/

Yeah if I was unemployed for any longer, there would have been nothing left to pay the bills with and picking up under the table work can only help you out a little

Yeah, it's very difficult to get a decent long term job in the US, especially if your trying to get into a specific field other then the medical profession

Yep, I'm very busy over there... forget to takes my breaks and everything xD ...meh, it's a job but I do definitely prefer it over killing myself on an assembly line everyday xD

I was lucky that the hotel gave me a chance, considering I've never worked in the hospitality field before.
I'm suprised though... even though you have experience in the field, you were never given the opportunity to go into it further

I work at a hotel in my local area and I'm part of house keeping and run the laundry area there.
