There's one little error in this article: Pokémon.com is run by Pokémon USA, not Nintendo of America.
 
This site has set me right! This whole time I thought that Gary's Japanese name was Shigeru, but now I know that it's actually Shigerui!

... Yeah, proof reading is nice XD

AFAIK, no; PUSA is a direct subsidiary of the Pokémon Company in Japan, making it a separate entity from NOA.
