No one's exactly sure where it came from, if it was natural or man-made, or how long it had existed. All anyone knows now is that everything's changed.
Things started out relatively normal; a winter sickness outbreak in Kanto, the same type of thing that happened every year. However, this wasn't a regular flu; soon, reports were coming in that the infected seemed mindless and displayed erratic behavior, to the point of lashing out at others. That may have been why it began to spread.
As self-proclaimed doomsday prophets stated they were correct... that this was the so-called "zombie apocalypse" they'd waited for... the rest of the world, little by little, were forced to admit they were right. Soon, the epidemic had spread to every region, leaving only a small percentage in each left healthy, whether through natural immunity or sheer luck. The Pokemon Leagues fell as the gym leaders and Elite Four members were either infected or forced to abandon their positions. And soon enough, wild Pokemon began to suffer from the disease as well.
Still, though... life, as much as it's changed to a fight for survival, goes on.
-No godmodding. I feel like this should go without saying.
-No explicit sex scenes.
-Your characters aren't going to be able to just mow down hordes of zeds. The name of the game here is survival. This is more DayZ than Left 4 Dead.
-That being said, there are no limits to violence. This applies to language, too, but please refrain from Cluster F-Bombs.
-Please limit your starting weapons to handguns, lower-class melee weapons, and maybe a bolt-action rifle. No shotguns or assault rifles right off the bat.
-Zeds are resistant to many Pokemon attacks, so try not to rely on your character's mons too much.
-Lastly, you can have a maximum of three characters. You can use canon characters.

Name: Winona Byrd
Age: 25
Orientation: Bisexual
Starting Location: Route 113, Hoenn
Appearance: 5'8", lavender eyes, long lavender hair fashioned into winglike tufts on her head, pale skin, athletic build.
Outfit: White undershirt, light blue track jacket, white jeans, white socks, light blue sneakers.
Personality: Has a very serious approach to the whole situation, and easily becomes irked when someone treats it like a game. That being said, she's quite compassionate, and cares deeply about her friends and allies.
Background: Prior to the outbreak, Winona was the gym leader of Fortree, and was actually named Drake's successor in the Hoenn Elite Four. Unfortunately, that never came to pass, and she teamed up with close friend Flannery to survive.
Starting Weapons: Lee-Enfield rifle, Nagant M1895 revolver
Pokemon Team: Altaria, Staraptor, Skarmory, Dragonite, Honchkrow, Togekiss
Other: Traveling with Flannery.
Name: Flannery Moore
Age: 23
Orientation: Pansexual
Starting Location: Route 113, Hoenn
Appearance: 5'7", red eyes, red hair fashioned into a style resembling an erupting volcano, slightly tanned skin, standard build with a larger-than-average bust, a few Razor Leaf scars along her body.
Outfit: Red crop top with an orange flame design, black sleeveless leather vest, baggy jeans, black-and-red sneakers, black fingerless leather gloves.
Personality: You have to give Flannery credit for trying to remain her upbeat self throughout the crisis, but this facade can easily crumble. She's quite unstable deep down, and thanks to her ever-worsening pyromania, she occasionally lashes out.
Background: Flannery used to be the gym leader of Lavaridge, and like Winona, was forced to abandon her post once the outbreak became too much. Aside from that, between the death of her parents just before her tenth birthday and everything she had to deal with during the Magma-Aqua Crisis, it hasn't been all sunshine and rainbows for Ms. Moore.
Starting Weapons: Ruger LC9 pistol, fire axe
Pokemon Team: Torkoal, Ninetales, Magcargo, Camerupt, Houndoom, Talonflame
Other: Traveling with Winona.
