The first Pokémon Trading Card Game expansion in the Scarlet & Violet series, Paldea Evolved, has been officially announced by The Pokémon Company International. This expansion will be the international equivalent of the Snow Hazard and Clay Burst expansions releasing in Japan on April 14th, including cards from those sets, as well as cards from the Triplet Beat subset that released in Japan on March 10th.

A full set list will not be available for some time, given that Snow Hazard and Clay Burst are still weeks away from release. Explicitly noted in the press release however were Tera Pokémon ex cards for Dedenne, from the Japanese Triplet Beat subset, and Forretress, from Clay Burst. Also announced was a Tera Pokémon ex card for Slowking, which as of this press release had not previously been announced for any set upcoming Scarlet & Violet Japan. Players can also expect the set to include the following:
  • 15 Pokémon ex and three Tera Pokémon ex
  • 36 illustration rare Pokémon
  • 18 ultra rare Pokémon ex and eight ultra rare Supporter cards
  • 15 special illustration rare Pokémon and Supporter cards
  • Nine hyper rare gold etched cards, which can include Pokémon ex, Trainer and Energy cards
As usual, Scarlet & Violet - Paldea Evolved will be available across a variety of formats, including the typical booster packs and Special Collections, as well as the Elite Trainer Box featuring the three Paldean starters. Special versions of the Elite Trainer Box will also be available through Pokémon Center in the US, Canada, and the UK. These special versions contain two additional booster packs, and two copies of an illustration rare style promo card, one of which will feature the Pokémon Center logo.
