Hacked or Not?

I just recieved this pokemon, and I don't know if it's hacked. Personally I think his stats are way too high. It's Japanese in name. Look:

Attack: 226
Defense: 232
Sp. Atk: 225
Sp. Def: 206
Speed: 205

It was caught in a master ball. I've read it could have been caught in Ilex Forest, but since Cristal has no compatibility with Diamond...makes me suspicious.

Stats? Not hacked. Celebi's base stats are at 100 - thus, it should be in the 200s when at 100. I know this because of my Mew at 97 - she has most of her stats at 200.

But yes. Hacked.

So, it might have been semi-legit, right? It's still annoying, tho. Or is Diamond compatible with Cristal? I don't have any of that gen.

It would've been hacked into the wild on R/S/E, or PokeSav'd. Crystal, unforetunately, isn't compatible with the 3rd and 4th gen.

If your definition of Semi legit is this:

-Catching an event Pokemon with your own skill but using a cheating device to activate said event

-A Pokemon cloned from another Pokemon by a glitch as long as the original was not hacked

Than the answer is not. There are no ingame events for Celebi. Although Japanese Coloseum does have a bonus disc that allows for Celebi's capture, although I am pretty sure, like the American Celebi, that it would come in an average Pokeball.

Ugh, that is bad way to trade. I do cloned stuff and I've been traded to with a hacked pokemon before but I always give the other person knowledge of it being a clone.

American Celebi, there was an event for a 3rd Gen Celebi in '05/6, I believe. It's a shame I missed it. ;__;
