How many original characters do you have/written?

i am not 100 percent sure about the definition of OC, but if the definition meant here is character you made up that fits in a existing franchise, i can think of three Marvel ones off the top of my head, and one lego ninjago one. the marvel are mostly spiderman variants, and the lego ninjago one is a ninja for the element of tech that i made before that became a official element. my idea of a tech element was bit different then the official version

Ocs don't have to be fandom based. The term can be used for original work, too.

How many OC's do I have?...Yes. The answer is just yes.

Narrowing it down to something reasonably countable, the original world I sometimes post about in my art thread has about 30 "main character" OC's spread across three story arcs. The primary villain group has...technically 11 members, though one of them they keep around because of the consequences of letting him go free, and not because he's actually loyal to the cause. But I keep adding to both of those when I get what I think is a good idea. And that's not even touching the supporting characters.

...Yes. The answer is yes.

I have so many ocs I lost count... x_x I only really have like a handful of Pokémon ones tho most my characters aren't rlly 4 pre-existing franchises and I don't really do much with them. I just like making up characters and drawing them sometimes. I'd like to do something with them eventually liek a game but oh well... ><

I only have two right now. I tend to prefer just sticking to the canon characters but sometimes you need a new character to fill a gap or create conflict. I struggled to come up with names at first but then I came up with a great name that ended up being very symbolic.

The first OC is named Sentia to match Cogita's and Volo's names. Volo meets a younger version of Cynthia who is time traveling and resembles this character which is what eventually leads to his emotional development. I had this idea that he would mishear her name at first but gradually as they grow closer he starts to use her correct name and stops projecting.

The second OC is a female warrior from Ransei who went mad with power and has a secret connection to Arceus. I imagined her as a corrupt version of the female mc from Conquest who is her ancestor. I used Dusk as a place holder name since she has an Umbreon (while her ancestor had an Espeon) and to contrast with Dawn but I'm not sure if it's too edgy. But I guess it's better than the first draft where I just called them Cynthia 2 and Dawn 2 lol. :slowpoke:

Enough to make one's head spin. Including mine. Be it characters for fanfiction, original works, or even more raunchy content, I've got OCs coming out of my ears. And there are times where I'll randomly come up with ideas and characters for whatever reason and then proceed to act/rehearse ideas/scenarios completely at random. My neighbors probably think I'm insane since I tend to vocalize my ideas and scenarios. Curse my overactive imagination. And yet it does nothing to stop me from getting writer's block. :bulbaFacepalm:
