The anime ending after over twenty years would be huge news and they would promote the heck out of it, especially when they've wanted some episodes of Journeys to get more attention online. That's why they started the series with the Pikachu's backstory as a Pichu episode. There is no reason to think that they'd end the anime rather suddenly without having more fanfare involved.

I wouldn’t want the anime to end without the Team Rocket trio getting some sort of proper closure too.

In my opinion, they are just as important to the anime as Ash is.

I'm sure it's not about selfishness. It's about production issues, and, in this case, probably keeping things unspoiled regarding the results of this battle.

For example, with the Alola League, one title was purposefully held back because it spoiled Ash's win. And in this case, the TV guide revealed that the Friday after this episode, i.e. the release date of Scarlet and Violet, will have no new episode, so that could be the reason why no new title has come out yet.

Tbh, they can just call the title: World Monarch. That doesn't give anything away.

I wonder if Eternatus could be Leon's last Pokemon for this battle.

It will similar to Tapu Koko suddenly replacing Kukui's last Pokemon.
 
Cinderace is the only thing throwing me off for this final part. I think z-move Pikachu and Max wildfire cancel out. Maybe they both switch after that and then once it comes down to a 1v1, Eternatus g-maxes Charizard and Pikachu again.

I do feel confidant it will end with G-Max Charizard vs. G-Max Pikachu though
