Why is it that some sections of the forum don't contribute to your post-count?

Sections like Fun & Games don't contribute to your post-count because most of the threads there don't require much thought to post, so people could use them to semi-legitly get their post-count up really quickly.

Why is it that some sections of the forum don't contribute to your post-count?

Back when the Fun & Games section DID add to your postcount, a lot of people would spam up threads like Random Messages, The One Above, etc., and still rev up their E-Peens postcounts ridiculously fast. Meanwhile, other users were making slow progress on postcounts while passionately and knowledgably debating about politics in the appropriate section, and these other guys were just mashing thier faces against the keyboard.

So as a result, posts in Fun & Games no longer added to postcount, and any increases in postcount due to those posts were annulled.
