Latest video from the official Japanese Pokémon TCG YouTube channel officially reveals new Friendship Poffin card coming in Wild Force

A new video on the Pokémon Trading Card Game's official Japanese YouTube channel has revealed the new Friendship Poffin item card, which will be released in Japan later this month on January 26th as part of the Wild Force expansion for the Scarlet & Violet series of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. Cards from this set, and paired partner Cyber Judge, will be released internationally lateer this year as part of an as yet unannounced set.

Search your deck for up to 2 Basic Pokémon with HP 70 or less, and put them onto your Bench. Then, shuffle your deck.

As discussed in the video, this card can be considered something of a replacement for the current Battle VIP Pass, which has been a staple of tournament play since its introduction in the Japanese Fusion Arts expansion back in September 2021. The new card loses the 1st turn restriction of that card, instead adding a new restriction on the Pokémon's maximum HP, with the result being a direct nerf to decks built around strong basic Pokémon with high HP values, while allowing decks build around evolution to quickly get their weaker basic Pokémon onto the field.
